Unethical Business Practice
My subscriber ID is 1008623231.

We had two of our set top boxes in non-working condition for which we had requested Tata Sky technicians to come over and fix it. Since both the boxes were under warranty, I was specifically informed that I wont be charged a single penny for the replacing them with other refurbished boxes.

I had specifically filled up and signed forms given to me by the Tata Sky technicians where it mentioned that I won't be charged for the service.

I checked my account today and figured that it has been deactivated and a charge of 350 Rs. has been levied on my account as VISIT CHARGE.

This comes off as cheating, unethical business practice and misguided information from Tata Sky for which if I am not attended to properly I will approach the Consumer Protection Court.

We are extremely dissatisfied with Tata Sky services and are seriously thinking of permanently switching over to another provider.

delaying in installation
my id no 1004584817 in the name of sanjeev jain paid rs1899/- on26/8 at 8.32a.m ensure me to install within 4hrs but till today no reponse comes from tatasky executive it gives me very bad experience and a feeling gives in my mind that you misguide your customer for taking business which is not good for the company.

No complaint service for the last 60 hours !
Hi,

This was to bring to your kind notice that my complaints to Tata Sky Helpline have not been attended for the last THREE DAYS !

Since 12th Aug evening, I have been facing problems with my Tata sky set-top box and am constantly following up with your helpline, which just comes up with innovative ideas of how, NOT TO HELP,

Even after registering same complaint almost 25 times (Not Joking, !), the only response me and my wife keep getting is one service request number and a vague promise of the “engineer” visiting in immediately-next 1 hr-or 2 hrs or definitely-worse 3 hrs ! (How I wish, I could attach all those lovely sms-es, from Tata sky in this mail !)

It has been over 60 hours and at least 150 min of sweet talks, with several highly qualified persons, but of no avail! We have also had the fortune to talk to the so called “seniors” on helpline numbers, one Mr. Setu Desai and one Mr. Vishal with even better promises, which they also know will not be met!

I am sure tomorrow being Sunday, I must not expect any services and that would mean 5 DAYS OF MERE PROMISES AND ASSURANCES! So much so for a 24*7 helpline!

I can bet I am not the first one, nor am in going to be the last one!

I MADE COMPLAINT TWICE. REF. 1-45230915 DT. 28.07.09, 1-4592079O DT. 29.07.09. IT WAS TOLD TO THE CUST. CARE OFFICER RAHUL, MR. VENU THAT WE AREA WORKING COUPPLE AND CAN GET THE THINGS DONE AFTER 7.00 PM. THEY ARE CALLING IN OFFICE HOURS AND TELLING WE ARE REACHING YOR HOME. IF WE EXPLIN, THEY ARE MISBEHAVING THE ENGINEERS NAMES ARE DEEPAK, DHEERAJ. I THINK THEY ARE SPOILING THE NAMES OF TATA GROUP.

Poor service
Sub- Feedback on the service. Please forward it to the appropriate person

I've been using tata sky for a couple of years and initially the service was good but lately the service

standards have really fallen. What is even worse is that there is no proper feedback mechanism in place. I

have called up the customer service a couple of times and sent mails and was assured that the feedback

would be taken into consideration but nothing has changed. It seems that you are not bothered even tough

there is more competition now!

A couple of points which may help you in retaining old customers:

1. Exorbitant prices for a large number of channels which I do not watch. Why do you not have a la carte

channel pricing or atleast let the customers create there own bouquet of channels rather than taking a

base pack and then the various add-ons. I have paid as high as Rs. 400 per month even though I only have

10-15 channels which I regularly watch. Since you have cleverly spread the 'most watched channels' into

multiple add-on packs (sports, entertainment, new launches etc.). Do you have any idea about your

competitor's pricing? This would clearly not work for you in the long run.

2. Very difficult to get in touch during signal disruptions/bad weather. If there is even light rainfall,

windy conditions etc. the channels blackout. Which may be understandable for a while but for a few hours?

During this time it is very difficult to get in touch with the customer helpline.

3. Increase the number of call center executives. A toll free number, real time chat service on the

website. A faster loading website. For people who have to hold for over 3 minutes arrange a call back.

4. More transparency overall.

Refruished Products- Defect
Hi,

Customer service experince at T-Sky is worsening.
This is with regrad to T-Sky remote which stopped workin after 95 days of exchange from authorised TATA Sky helplne. On calling Helpline office says you have to again pay 390 rs as its 5-6 dyas over due. Can you beat this; tata whihc was known to brand and srvice ia now mincing money like this? Office at helpline gives an example of his own purchsed T.V says if warranty expires one has to pay-- looks that these guys are sitting only for conveincibg people with there sales efforts.

I got stucked byuing this DTH and they say by Tata Sky plus -- HUH!

out of order
i have logged a complaint to tata sky help desk on 06 .07.09 and i have received instant message in my mobile the complaint no was 1-4411401070 and the service engineer number was also there but there is no response at all and till date and time no ody has taken effort to get it resolved, i feel like saying TATA to TATA SKY.

Wrong information from customer service
I was residing in Hyderabad when I took Tata Sky 1+ years back. Now I shifted my residence to Chennai. Before shifting I have called to Tata Sky Customer Care to know the procedure. The executive adviced me to shift only the set-top-box to Chennai and pay Rs.600/- to get Tata Sky connection in Chennai.

When I came to Chenni I called Tata Sky Customer Care again. The executive told me that the policy has been changed and since I don't have the dish I have to Pay Rs.1000/- to get connection in Chennai.

I didn't get any information regarding the change of policy and everything happened during the same month.

being unauthorised before 2 months of date
i rechrgerd my tatasky on sep-2008, the pakage was for seven months, 3 days before it shows the message that "tata sky digicard is unautherised", hence we recharged for 7 months, more 2 month is left to recharge it again

Terrible experience
We bought are charge voucher and even after installing properly and putting up several complaints our Tv shows "please insert your digicard and your digicard is unauthorized. We are sorry cause in the name of the complaint we spent lots of money and also the the in the refill voucher is now exhausted without we able to enjoy any program.
