Staff is very responsive when they are trying to get your money, they become unresponsive once you request for a refund -- go figure.

I hired Tax Network USA to handle a tax debt. I had researched the company and was a little leery seeing all of the complaints. The fact the the lawyer listed on the Power of Attorney form - does not even claim to work there is somewhat strange. They claim that they have several attorneys.

The settlement officer Albert, tried to assure me that they were very good at what they do in his very "car salesmanlike " spiel. Stupidly, I hired them - but a few days later I just felt something wasn't right. So I called and requested to know just what exactly they intended to do and when.

So I called to cancel services. This is where things got interesting. Once I mentioned that no longer wanted to use their services, NO ONE was available to talk -- to discuss a refund, which I know I am well within my right to get - being that they were only hired for about 1 week! There is no way they could argue that they completed substantial work on my case in one week. They claim to be "tax professionals" -- but it is common knowledge that nothing gets done at the IRS in a week. They did not even have my financials to process a tax return. What work could they have done? They sent a few faxes -- whoppty-doo.

This company is definitely a SCAM, SCAM, SCAM, SCAM, SCAM, SCAM, SCAM!!! - and anyone who is considering hiring them- should consult a CPA or an EA- would cost you about the same -but at least you'd be working with a professional who can itemize exactly what they are doing and when AND they are experienced.

I know trying to get matters resolved with the IRS can be a scary situation and most of us in the situation just want the matter resolved as quickly as possible. Can I attest to their ability to settle IRS debt? No, I can't. But I can tell you this...wisdom from granny: If it smells like sh_ t, it probably is.

Please BEWARE, find a true tax professional, consultant, CPA, EA-- hell go to H&R block if you have to -- But I caution you: DO NOT hire Tax Network USA / American tax Network. If you're like me, you already have debt and you do not have money to waste!!! THIS IS A WASTE. Spend your money on a LOCAL Tax Professional and do your research. Don't jump the gun like I did, thinking hiring them would solve my problems. I am now in a worse situation than I was before hiring them and I am out of 600 bucks.

Educate yourself. Find a certified tax professional.
