We recently completed a move with Taylor International. The packers were rude and, instead of packing, dumped drawers into boxes. Glass lamps were packed in boxes of clothes, and when they ran out of boxes, used old broken down boxes from other moves. The packers even failed to pack two areas of the house and we had to have the new owners gather our belongings. The damage was severe and seemed intentional. Having moved many times the damage was far greater than we had ever experienced.
The movers also planned badly and had to complete our move in three different trucks. This extended our move by several weeks.
The very worst of the move is that not all of our belongings arrived. Thousands of dollars of belongings, including ipods, kitchen contents, pottery, wooden bowls, carvings did not arrive. They claimed they checked the warehouse and nothing was found. Given the wide variety of items missing it certainly seems like someone was shopping for their own house.
The President of the company told me that Taylor International was not an insurance company and that they were not responsible. They will not help us in any way. If movers can help themselves without the management stepping in you have to wonder if this is the norm.
