Extreme Delay In Posting Direct Deposits
Today I got paid by my employer as I do every two weeks, but this time TD Bank is experiencing "delays" posting transactions to customer's accounts. I have no access to funds that are mine. The deposit can be proven with a pay stub that funds were transferred to my specific TD Bank account number on today's date. Yet, still no access to my funds. Any bank that cannot post CASH DEPOSITS (direct deposit=cash) in a timely manner does not deserve my business. The is the LAST in a long line of bad experiences that I have had with TD Bank. I recommend to anyone reading this post that the immediately take their funds, investments, insurance, loans or any other product and transfer them to a more reputable company. TD Bank is NOT Commerce Bank by a long shot.

NO FUNDS
TD BANK has been having some sort of computer internet glitch that started Friday...long story short, they are still DOWN and I have been embarrassed when trying to use my debit card to purchase food, pay bills and conduct business...my card is declined and I am getting told that there is INSUFFICIENT FUNDS! I was supposed to have my check deposited directly today, 30th and it is not in there...instead my account does not reflect anything but negative activity and to boot...$105.00 of overdraft fees!?!?!?! EXCUSE ME?
I attempted to call the 800 number and the automated #'s neither of which are working. That leads me to believe that they were well aware of the amounts of complaint phone calls they would be getting and shut down their phone systems as well. That is horrible customer service.
They told my husband who walked into a location that by 4pm everything would be fine...well that is not the case.
They did not notify us ahead of time about this interruption in my money and now how do I go about living, paying bills and conducting business...forgodsakes we are in a recession and money is a necessity.
How do they do this to us?
I am switching banks immediately! I am disgusted by this

This is why Canada sucks
Ever since their upgrade the entire banking system has been useless. I can't view my balances or make transfers because they have all the numbers eff-d up. Prior to the "update" you could see where pending debit card transactions came from, now you have to wait for them to post completely before you can.
This is what you get when a bunch of French Canadians buy up American businesses, complete shit.
Fuck you Canada.

WORST BANK EVER
Over the weekend, TD Bank merged with TD Bank north, I wish they prepare themselves for it. They are not having system glitches as one would expect...instead they have their whole operations on the standstill! Try accessing online banking - you are getting a message - If you need immediate assistance, please call 1-888-751-9000 - try dialing the number - what you hear is YOUR NUMBER CAN NOT BE COMPLETED AS DIALED!!! It gets even better, when you go to the branch, the manager will angrily tell you, that the system has been just integrated and they do not know how to work it. You can send a wire, but it the bank can not tell you when it will reach the recipient, you can not check your balance because the system in not allowing. To sum it up if your business has an account at TD Bank you can close your doors and go home, can run your business, can not do your accounting and TD Bank chose the end of the month to make you, your customers and vendors "happy". TD Bank America's Most INCONVENIENT Bank

No Money
I'm leaving TD Bank after today. I get paid on the 15th and 30th. I have bills that are automatically paid from my checking account and all they can say is we're updating our systems? They dont have any issues taking my money out today if I make a purchase but it's gonna take until 4pm to give me my direct deposit. This is so Unprofessional. The woman in the bank said we had signs up about the system update. What does that mean? It never said "you will not be able to get your payroll check while we update our systems!" So now what am I supposed to do? Hope that my creditors don't debit my account and charge me for insufficient funds. My bills could be late now and I need my money

Off line - still
The banking industry relies on their systems heavily for their business. They have been off line for how long now? I am pulling my accounts as soon as I can get my money and shorting the stock.
The most convenient bank went to completely non-functional. I want my commerce bank back!

Direct Deposit
Direct Deposit ~ No ones direct deposit went through. They can't give you any good answers and I don't have any money. I hate them. This is a real big problem.
I am leaving the bank. Hit me back if you are having issues as well.

Computer System Upgrade
I CAN NOT BELIEVE that after 7 days TDB still HAS NOT completed their system transfer of customer information. This is absolutely ridiculous. TD bank should not have commenced the process UNLESS THEY WERE SURE THAT ALL COMPUTER GLITCHES HAD BEEN RECTIFIED!! Not only did I have to deal with an embarrassing incident at a restaurant on 9/24 when my card was rejected but today 9/30, my husband's payroll check IS NOT REFLECTED IN OUR ACCOUNT BALANCE AND SHOWS THAT WE ARE IN ARREARS. AND TO ADD INSULT TO INJURY, A RECORDED MESSAGE AT CUSTOMER SERVICE SAYS “WE ARE SORRY YOUR CALL CANNOT BE COMPLETED AT THIS TIME, PLEASE TRY YOUR CALL AGAIN LATER." WE NEVER HAD ANY OF THESE PROBLEMS WHEN IT WAS COMMERCE BANK!! YOUR BANK IS GOING TO LOOSE A LOT OF CUSTOMERS AND TO THINK I USE TO BRAGG ABOUT THIS BANK!!!

DIRECT DEPOSIT
TD Bank did some upgrading of their system from Friday Setember 25 until Monday September 28th, 2009. What they did not tell their customers was that anyone who was getting their payroll, pension, disability, unemployment or any other funds check deposited in this time frame will have to wait until the 28th to get their funds. There was no letter advising of this to their customers with the monthly statements. When I called the bank they said well if you bank on line it states we are updating our system, yes it did state that, however it did not state that direct deposit funds would not be available. Now what about the people who do not have a computer and do any kind of banking on line? what about the elderly people who would have needed that money for medication, or what if someones rent was due and they were waiting for their pay check to be direct deposited. For this TD bank has failed their customers. Shame on them..

Awful Customer Service
I used to have Banknorth which I LOVED (best bank ever!) and now I have the awful TD Bank with the worst customer services ever. First of all, their 24/7 phone service rarely works. Even to get to the point where they can put you on hold for half an hour is a struggle. When you call their 1888-751-9000 line you get the message: "We're sorry your call cannot be completed at this time, please try again later." So then you have to call their telephone banking line and then press zero to speak to a CSR.
After being on hold for half an hour, I managed to get a CSR who I asked my question about getting a new card in a couple of months before my current card expires. She answered my question briskly (not a touch of friendliness compared to the Banknorth people, but I didn't really mind), and then she rushed and said: "if there's nothing more, have a nice day bye" and hung up on me. So I thought about giving up because I didn't want to be on hold again for so long but I really need the new card because I'll be out of the country for months and I leave in a couple of weeks and I need my card before I leave. So I buckled down and called back through the same roundabout route (and its not my phone. I tried my house phone, my mobile phone, skype, the hall phone in my apartment, my phone at work, all with the same result).
I'm on hold again now. After about 35minutes on hold, I finally spoke to a nice, but not very knowledgeable-seeming CSR who's put me on hold for the past 25 minutes so that she can "process my request for a new card." I've gotten new cards both from Banknorth and my other bank Chase in the past and never has the entire process taken 25 minutes let alone, putting me on hold for that long, just to "put in the request." Like I mean, was she running to the visa office with it or something? No wonder the wait times are so long, although I was on hold so long, I'm fairly certain she must have been attending to other calls.
She was nice though. But still I'm not at all impressed with this bank. Chase has stand-off-ish customer services but at least they're brisk and the wait times are very short and everything moves along briskly.
