I bought 2 spindle boxes of 50 TDK DVD-R, 1-16x speed, 4.7GB data/video DVDs. When I tried to write a video using my PC internal DVD writer Pioneer Model No.DVD-RW DVR-112D these TDK dvds were not even recognized by this dvd writer. I then tried my other Internal DVD writer a Sony DVD-RW DW-Q28A. This time although the video was written on the DVD, the resulting video was unwatchable both on the PC and also on a standalone DVD player. The picture stutters all the time and freezes. I tried a Samsung External DVD writer but the results were the same. I also gave some of these discs to friends of mine who have different dvd writers and different pcs and standalone dvd players but the results were exactly like mine. My PC is a Dell Dimension Model 4550.

I therefore asked the help of the TDK Support team by filling in the form provided by TDK-Europe.com. and submitted it on 9th August. I received a no-reply e-mail and advised me that a member of the support team would contact me within two business days. They assigned me a query ticket (TDK-070819-002). No one cared to contact me or answer my query and so 12 days later I again completed their online form and resubmitted my query, quoting my original TDK query ticket No. Surprisingly enough I received another no-reply e-mail promising me that I will be contacted within 2 business days and another query ticket (TDK-070817-001) issued. After 5 days without any answer I tried the same procedure again and again I received a no-reply e-mail promising me contact within 2 business days and again a different query No was issued. Finally I contacted TDK USA who informed me that they can do nothing about the matter. They told me to try and recontact TDK Europe. They told me that TDK Europe is based in Luxemburg.

I feel very hurt the way TDK Europe have completely ignored me. It would be good for TDK Luxemburg to know that Malta is a full member state of the European Union and I as Maltese have got the same right as any other european citizen and expect to be treated as such
