I am from the Federated State of Micronesia. I came here in 1999 to further my education and instead I signed up for the United State Marine Corp. I fought alongside my fellow brothers, Marines, during Operation Iraqi Freedom. After my four year contract ends, I decided to get out. I really thought things will be so much easier for me for my unselfish decision to join the service. It was the other way around.
I went to renew my Driver Licensce, in there, they give me trouble. Almost every job I try to apply for give me hardtimes. I end up working in a warehouse. I get paid $9.90 and hour. I barely make 20 hours a week. I can not feed my wife and my son, and pay all my bills with this. I went to Food Stamp with my wife, there it seems like they don't even care. They even have poor attitude. They ask for my passport and pay stub. My employer gave my a website for the Food Stamp people to go on it and verify my income. They refuse to do it instead they give me till 5pm to get the info or they will deny our case. This is not fair.
Anyone out there have any comments or advice? What am I doing wrong?
