I am extremely pissed off at Tharrow Hotel in Mykonos. I will tell you my story and let you make your own judgment:

I arrived at Tharrow Hotel in Mykonos early in the morning with a reservation I had made only 4 hours before on the internet. The Hotel looked nice from the outside so everything seemed fine so far.

Then, when we arrived on our Apartment, and immediately noticed that it was dirty, such as when a room is empty for months, and it smelled of mold. Not only that, but we were told the Room was an Oceanfront Room, and it was nothing of the sort - The Sea could only be seen from one of the windows, and it was at least 1 mile away - Definitely not Oceanfront, and not even Ocean View. As if that was not enough, there was a tied up barking dog right next to our room, and a big pile or burning trash - That was REALLY our View - A Tied up Barking Dog and Burning Trash, with a little bit of blue sea well over a mile away.

My Wife immediately refused to stay not only because of how dirty ugly the room was, but also because the room as nothing like their Website depicted. They must be big fans of Photoshop - Those Photos are NOT REAL.

So, we went back downstairs and told them about the dirty room without a view, and requested a refund so we could go find another hotel. Their answer: No Refund, sorry! They felt entitled to my $800+ for looking at their dirtyroom for 5 minutes.

We left very angry and upset and ended up staying at another Hotel which was half the price, was really ocean-front, and was much cleaner and nicer.

THIS HOTEL IS NOTHING LIKE THE WEBSITE SAYS IT IS AND THEY ARE MORE INTERESTED IN RIPPING OF THEIR PROSPECTIVE GUESTS THAN MAKING THEM HAPPY - DO NOT STAY HERE! YOU ARE BETTER OFF STAYING AT ANY OF THE OCEAN-FRONT HOTELS NEAR THE PORT THAN IN THIS FAR-AWAY, DIRTY, OVER-PRICED JOINT.

BAD HOTEL. TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE. STAY AWAY AT ALL COSTS!! DO NOT BE FOOLED BY THEIR NICE WEBSITE AND NICE FRONT ENTRANCE - THAT'S THE ONLY NICE THING THEY HAVE - I GUARANTEE IT
