My wife and I, went to The Bay last weekend. We went to other stores also looking for a Gazebo for our backyard. We found one at The Bay as a floor display but was already sold.
It took 25minutes to have a Sales Associate to express our desire to buy this items either at this store or other stores, no matter if we have to wait for ordering it. The sales lady started to mumble that the sales was ending in 2 days and she was not able to garanty the same sales price after that date. She mentioned that maybe her manager could garanty the Sales price. She had a mobile phone in her hand and after expressing our will to buy this item, I had to ask her 3 times to call her manager.
After she hang up she confirmed that on the next shipment we will be able to purchase the Gazebo at the Sales price.
I then ask her to confirm this on paper. She gave me the detail and wrote down the price $299.00. The sales price was 262.49. I did not noticed this mistake before getting back to my car. I then ask her when she expect a delivery. She said the deliveries are on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Again I ask 3 time can you call us when it is arrived. She weakly confirmed yes.
Obviously this lady Jeannine Dias is miserable at The Bay and she shoes non caring attitude for her clients. She cannot make commitment and cannot take ownership of issues with her customer.
We are today Tuesday night now and we had no call from her.
I've been a quality analyst in a major call center in Toronto and I give her a quality score of "Poor". Communication skills: "Poor". Empathy: "Poor".
When I left, there was an other couple waiting for assistance at the mattress department. They were waiting longer than we had waited. They also seems annoyed of the poor Customer Service.
