To all dissatisfied members of The Bliss Members and Mayan Palace
Our story is very similar to all of the ones you read on this forum. Yes, we were scammed by the timeshare people at the bliss. Since the time of purchase 2009, we have been doing our best to keep on going with making the monthly payments on time and looking out to get back the rental income from the deposited weeks as promised. Well, for all of those who wonder if they will ever rent or sell their weeks! Here is the answer. No, you will never see a dime from the resort, that is biggest lie. Oh sorry, my bad, the resale of your previously owned timeshare for almost the price you paid is the biggest lie, rental is #2! How about a rental agencies? No, there isn’t any real rental agency out there. The resort is not only aware of this but gives out your information to rental brokers; being that the reason for these crooked companies to be calling your home and cell number at all times wanting to charge you an advertising fee. Yes, you read correctly all they do is to supposedly advertise your weeks in a non working website, once you pay you will never hear from them.
I think we can all considerably help turn down the timeshare scammers by not sending any more of our hard earned money.
I personally tried to cancel the agreement in an amicable manner for many months now, only to receive either a negative response or to have my communications TOTALLY IGNORED! I believe they should get paid back the same way, ignore their payment request, phone calls. Perhaps, when they see their juicy bank accounts go down the drain they will start COMMUNICATING and will stop scamming the tourist.
I do not expect you to read and believe, google Mayan Palace Scam and the search will retrieve hundreds of websites that describe the scam, and the most interesting one I found this one http://www.mescam.com/TimeshareMaterial.htm you will find the training the resort gives to the sales people. So disgusting!
Do not buy
