I applied to what I thought was a legitimate marketing & Advertising position with The Blueprint Inc. 2 days later I received this e-mail:
Good Morning! I am sending a reply in regards to the resume you submitted for our Entry Level Marketing & Advertising position.
Our hiring manager had a chance to review your resume and he feels this position could be a good match for you, so Congratulations!!! However, we do have a three-step interview process. We want to make sure that you’re a little more familiar with the position before we move forward with an appointment.
Basically, we handle the marketing/advertising for different businesses and brands all over the Los Angeles/N. Orange County area. We are looking for someone who is excited to learn different facets of our business to grow with our company. We are planning to expand on a national level and need to cross-train in the following areas:
• Marketing/Advertising/Promotions
• Wholesale Distribution
• Campaign Management
• Account Management
This is a Full-Time position only. We are looking for someone who is goal-oriented and driven; someone who is not satisfied with being average and is an aggressive student; and someone who is motivated, not intimidated, about rapid growth. If you feel you fit this description, please send an email to Human Resources ([email protected]) to set up a potential face-to-face interview with the Manager, Ken Crosley, to discuss your qualifications for the multiple positions available.
I had a scheduled interview at 2:00pm the next day. While waiting for my interview to begin I noticed they had several other people waiting for interviews. I also observed someone leaving the interview and asking if they Validate Parking. I should have known right then something was amiss. they said they do not Validate. Then I noticed the interviewer was taking 2 people in at a time for an interview?? Once I was called for the interview I was in an office with a very quick speaking KID who basically outlined a sales job pushing some cosmetics for "Victoria Jackson" I was told that for 2 week i would have to be selling products and within the third week I would need to get sales people under me selling. I would have to train them and build a team before ever being offered a manager’s position. I have 20 years in advertising and marketing and nothing was said about Advertising or Marketing positions. They pray on the unemployed and sucker then in on fake positions and then try to get you to build there pyramid scam sales position. I waked out and then had to pay $7.50 for parking. I got scammed.
