Not as professional as they claim to be
I bought a Fuji digital camera from them over the internet. The camera arrived in a white shipping box clearly not packed by the manufacturer.
When I placed my order the website said that I am getting a new "in the box" item.
There was no warranty papers, and many items that were supposed to be included were missing.
The camera looked very much refurbished by some third party. After contacting The Camera Professionals and arguing with them and having to ship it back, they finally credited my card. Don't buy from these "professionals".

bad product/bad service
This is the second time I buy a camera from them and the customer service is very bad. The cameras broke about a year since I bought them. I have been trying to reach them and I had to wait close to 30 mins. I spoke with four different people Itai, Gabrielle, Koshkova and Kathy. They all put me on hold for over 15 mins. Or they just directy hung up when they heard my complain. Finaly after 3 days of trying someone told they will not fix or replace the defective camera and I need to contact Fuji…

TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE
I can not believe how RUDE this customer service represenatives of this company were!!! I called to ask about a camera, I waited on the phone for about 10 minutes, and when I was finally connected to a represenative, I enquired about a particular camera, and they hung up on me!!! It was a very short interchange. I simply stated the name of the camera, and then they hung up. I called back thinking it had to be a mistake. I told them that I had called to enquire about a camera but was cut off, and they hung up AGAIN! I then called the third time this time I told them I wanted to buy a camera. They asked me which one, and proceeded to tell me that they had sold out of that camera! The funny thing is that the "wait message" that they play says that " everyone is treated like a professional". I will NOT buy a camera from this company. They definately sound like a bait and switch company. It is a shame that there are companies out there that exist just to scam people. I am going to spend a few extra dollars and buy from a REPUTABLE company.

I replied to their email; they wanted me to buy from them an exhorbitantely high priced battery for the camera; I said no, just send the camera as bought, they put me on hold, tried to sell me a different battery, I said no, just send the camera as ordered. They said OK, that was back on September 8th; after 2 weeks I followed up, to be told no, they do not have the camera is on back order for 1 to 2 weeks. I called again after 2 weeks, no, they don't have it and do not know.. when they will get it, but they can cancel the order...I will try once more, but this is evidentely a way to trap people into buying what they do not want.

Check out the NY BBB website. This company is doing business under several different names, with several different addresses within one city, does not respond to some correspondence sent via the NY BBB. Glad I check them out before purchasing with them. Thanks for everyone who saught this board out to vent, as it helped me chose to go with a local vendor.

Bait and switch
Company is a complete bait and switch. They offer a seemingly low price on the Internet and leave out essentials like the battery needed for the camera to work. They make you call to confirm the order and in the process try to upsell you. Then they will charge you for items you didn't order and not break down the charges, just say that you ordered it. Finally, when you call to cancel, they threaten a 15% restocking charge.
True criminals. Would highly advise against ordering from this place.

Sent refurbished camera instead of new
Deceptive advertising. Poor customer service. Aggressive sales pitch. These are my complaints regarding my purchase with The Camera Professionals (TCP). Found a camera no longer available at other stores. Price was good. These are the things I liked about TCP. I ordered a Fuji FinePix F20 from TCP and was the next day sent an email requiring me to call and confirm my order. That's strange. After waiting a long time 10-20 min if I remember correctly, I was confronted by an salesman who told me that I really should get a longer lasting battery because the one that comes with the camera is a 20 min battery. Who rates camera batteries by minutes? The battery he was selling cost more than half the cost of the camera. I declined, repeatedly. He wanted me to buy some flash memory. I was irritated. The flash memory was overpriced at over double current xD Memroy street values. I told him I already had extra flash and everything else that I needed besides the camera because I could see the never ending path this conversation was leading down. They then shipped my purchase several days later to my billing address instead of my shipping address. After I retrieved my camera from my parents house the following weekend, I opened the shipping box to find a plain white box that a Fuji technical service representative has confirmed was a box that refurbished cameras are packaged in. TCP' claim that all products sold are brand new was not true in my case. After all of that I got a refurbished camera at a refurbished camera price. I wouldn't buy from TCP again because I will not support these kinds of business practices for any amount of potential savings. I learned from this experience to find ratings for online sellers before buying from websites I haven't used before.

Unprofessional!!!
I was about to purchase the Sony HDR-SR12 from this company due to the incredibally low price until I decided to do some further investigation which led me to this site. There were numerous complaints about this company including several that indicated that low prices were due to the company actually opening the product packaging and "piece mealing" the contents. You can buy the product at a low price but you won't be able to use it until you purchase an "accessory package" that, essentially, gives you back what you were supposed to get in the fully packaged product and a few low-end junk items to make you feel like you really got a deal.
I was surprised to find that they didn't mislead me when I called and asked whether the product available online was the fully packaged product with all accessories. I waited on hold for about 3 minutes, a quick switch to the live line and held for another 30 seconds and a woman answered. I asked my question and she immediately forwarded my call to someone else. A man picks up, I ask the same question and he quickly responds with "No, that would cost $1, 099." I went with that and began to mention that there was no option to get the fully packaged product online when I noticed about two words into my sentence that I had been hung up on.
These people are anything but professional. I don't know that you're actually getting a new product either (as the website states that all products are brand new). I'm beginning to believe that they're possibly refurbs or that you're actually getting a product that they unpackaged to sell the individual pieces. Is that even legal?
If you're looking for a good online vendor of camera/camcorder equipment with good prices, I've had much luck with Adorama.com. I think they're far more professional and their prices have been the best that I've found online. In fact, I'm going to make my camcorder purchase with them.

Horrible Cust. Service
I ordered a Canon Rebel XTi from these people and instantly recieve an e-mail with an order number wanting me to call to verify my order. I called the next morning, and after 20 minutes on hold with the same music looping:
Rude customer service: "What can I do for ya?"
Me: "Hi, I'd like to verify an order please."
RCS: "Huh?"
Me: "I want to verify my order."
RCS: "What's the order number?"
Me: "56789"
RCS: "Huh?"
Me: "Five. Six. Seven. Eight. Nine."
*pause*
RCS: "It'll be 3-5 business days."
Me: "To ship?"
RCS: "Huh?"
Me: "3-5 business days to ship, or until I recieve it?"
RCS: "tomail" (she mumbled it)
Me: "Excuse me?"
RCS: "Have a nice day." *click*
Two weeks later, I haven't recieved or heard anything, and my credit had not been deducted for the purchase. I called back, and this time, it was 30 minutes on hold with the same music, playing over and over.
RCS: "How can I help ya?"
Me: "I'd like to check the status of my order please."
RCS: "Order number?"
Me: "Five. Six. Seven. Eight. Nine."
*pause*
RCS: "Cameron?"
Me: "That's ---"
RCS: "It's on back order."
Me: "Do you know when you might get that product in?"
RCS: "I dunno."
Me: "Alright, can I cancel my order and get a refund please?"
*pause*
RCS: "Your cancelation number is 23456"
Me: "23456, Thanks."
*click*
They were rude and seemed like they didn't want to help me. My experience isn't as bad as the others I've read, but I still wouldn't even recommend this outfit to my ex-girlfriend's new boyfriend.
