Fraud
THIS COMPANY IS A FRAUD! I bought a camera from this sketchy company and should've done my research about them before doing any business with them. After buying a camera from them, my credit card information was compromised using specific information that I had not given to any other company. Now I am in the process of disputing all the charges, but it is a big hassle. PLEASE DO NOT LET YOUR FRIENDS OR FAMILY EVER USE THIS COMPANY! They are a fraudulent company who keeps changing their name and address, just to get away with their fraud activity.

Company sells under other names
This company also sells under other names - go to the BBB website and do an advance search under the URL I've given to see these other websites they hide under. I agree with what others have said on the BBB website, run don't just walk as fast as you can from these guys. My experience is as follows:

I can't write this LOUD ENOUGH! - They wouldn't let me speak with a supervisor to verify a few things prior to ordering a digital camera and zoom lens and put me on hold for 40 minutes after 2 disconnections and finally got some person who claimed he was the supervisor on the first ring when I went to the sales department! What does that tell you? Check out the "false security" icons at the bottom of their page -note that the CyberSource protect buy seal PERTAINS TO THEIR OWN PROTECTION FROM FRAUD! You will not see a BBB seal because they recommend you stay far away from this company - HOW IT IS POSSIBLE that this company is able to obtain a 5 star rating is amazing. I tried to place a complaint at "planet rating" (which is a seal on the site in two different forms, go figure) that gave them 5 stars, however it wouldn't accept my complaint?! It is not worth your heartache, pay the extra dollars and buy from a place you can at least get a person on the phone to speak with you if there are issues. Some one nice and not incredible rude like those who work at this scam shop. Better yet make sure there is an address associated with where you purchase- The camera professionals have 4 addresss listed on BBB complaints, with indication that mail returned as they are not at that location. They also do not have an email address. At the end of my conversation the supervisor didn't like my inquiries and stated "You need me more than I need your money". If you think about it, it is because he is making enough just by scamming people.

False advertising, false claims!
NEVER BUY FROM COMPANIES THAT DO NOT DISCLOSE THEIR IDENTITY/LOCATION. www.TheCameraProfessionals.com is a good example of those not trustworthy companies. Buyer beware!!!

This website claims there office is located in NY. However, when research further from various websites (see below sites). This company is located in a very small town in the Nova Scotia of Canada. Fortunetely I did a research on this website and found so many unsatisfying customers who experience from this company. I was almost make my purchase. Thank goodness for the information.

No merchandise received - Bad Service
Unresponsive, Poor Service, and still have no merchandise.

I bought a digital photo frame for my mom for Mother's Day. Needless to say, it never arrived. Ordering turns out to be a pain. When you get all the way through ordering, and its too late - you're advised by email that you have to phone call them anyway to verify your order. They aren't a 24x7 call center, so you wait on their time. When I got through, the man acted like he couldn't be bothered, and was rude.

The money came out of my account fast enough, but I still haven't seen the merchandise. Of the million times I've ordered online, this was the first time I had a horrible experience. I should have checked for complaints, since I'd never ordered from them before. I'll give the company five more business days, and a warning. After that, I'm filing an official complaint, and will advise Google (since the company appears in "sponsored links") ...and I then will also file fraud claim with FTC.

Engaged in illegal activity on huge scale
Their website looks quite professional. I should have done more research. I was billed extra for a high end Optoma home theater projector. It arrived OK. However, the serial numbers had been removed from the box and the unit. It developed a problem and I was unable to send it to Optoma for repair. The Camera Professionals did replace the unit a month after they recieved the returned unit. The unit is suppose to have a 3 year warranty. I had asked specifically for a new product in an unopened box with serial numbers. The replacement unit box had been opened. All the serial numbers had once again been removed from the box and the unit. I have contacted the appropriate agencies to look into this operation which is no doubt breaking all sorts of state and federal laws. I have a functional product for the moment, but I was taken in by this clearly criminal organization.

Sham Company
This company is a SHAM! Stay away from them. Their prices are too good to be true and their customer service is non-existent. Shop at a reputable e-tailer. I placed an order with them and they never followed through on it. e-mails went unanswered and getting through on the phone is impossible. When I did get through they hung up on me.

Everything
Alright, so here's my story. On Monday, April 28th, I placed an order with www.thecameraprofessionals.com for a Sony HVR-A1U professional digital video camera. The cheapest one on ebay at the time was $1, 750 and came with the basic "from the factory" load out, and 10 DV tapes, a HD wide lens, as well as only had 6 hours of usage. Great deal as these go for $2, 200 new on amazon.com. I did a nice little google search for this camera for a better price, and lo and behold, The Camera Professionals website comes up, with a shocking price of $1, 399. Goodness me, I looked at it. Said "New in Box" with free shipping. One would assume that this means, New in Box, like it would come from the factory. Along with a mountable 50 watt light, tripod, lcd protectors, and a case. Oh My! who would pass up this deal?!

here is the link to the exact product i ordered:
http://www.thecameraprofessionals.com/prodetails.asp?prodid=656

I make the order, and get the e-mail requesting my confirmation within 2 days. I thought, "hey, these guys are pretty bloody professional if they require me to verbally verify the credit card and my order." I call, and honestly didn't get what most people said about the long wait on hold. I did reach a service rep at around noon. The guy was very polite, but informed me "this package is JUST for the camera, did you want to get the shotgun mic and adapter for it?" (what what what?! this comes standard in the factory box!) "umm, well this should be packaged with the camera, as it comes out of the factory as such." I say simply in confidence about what i'm talking about after researching these for multiple weeks. The man quickly countered my statement with a simple "no it's not, those are package deals and that's why they cost more." Well, hell after he quoted me the price for the mic and the adapter AND the battery WITH charger etc. it was still cheaper than amazon.com, so I said "sure why not" i'm still saving money for the same package anyways. When asking me to upgrade he even threw in "express shipping" that will "ship within 2-3 days." Again, how could you pass this deal up?! I agreed, and even bought MORE accessories at my own choice (wasn't pressured into). Now before you think this was a good review, keep reading. On Tuesday I recieved an e-mail thanking me for my purchase (automated of course), and that I should recieve my tracking number soon.

It is now Friday May 2nd, 6 days from when I placed my order and got my confirmation. I check the activity online of my credit card, and there has been no charges made. I call the company to get no automated machine but a guy answering with what sounds like a "party" going on in the background and a guy saying "did you just f***ing answer the phone?!" and hung up immediately. I call back to get a recorded message saying they were closed, 3 hours before their website says they're closed.

I have now cancelled my credit card and plan on calling them on monday (since they're not actually open on saturdays or sundays) and I will be recording the conversation i have with them about cancelling the order. I will post a link ASAP with the recorded message (if it goes as i plan it to, with everyone saying they're so horrible and treat you bad.)

This company, while normally seemed professional, did not follow through with the few promises they made me, as well as what I've read from others including their review by the BBB (all bad), should be shut down, and the city of New York, as well as New Jersey should prevent the owner from getting his proper business license. These are criminals. Plain and simple.

If you are reading this researching this company. The statement is simple. DO NOT ORDER FROM THEM. If you view ANY positive feedback about this company it's by people who are first time reviewers, as well as "unknown" people with no valid e-mail, which tells me and i'm sure most people, that it's just the company themselves posting positive feedback to combat it.

This company has worked under MANY alias's in the past 3 years and have all been shady companies. Do some more research and you can find out all the other alias's they've worked under as well as many many many complaints about each of these businesses.

Again, AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS.

Deceptive Advertising
Ordered a Nikon D300 SLR, which they advertised for $899 on their website. When I called to confirm the order, as is required by their e-mail confirmation, I was told that this was for a polycarbonate body which they did not have in stcok. Their representative said they only had the magnesium body. I inquired as to the price and was told that the magnesium body was $1799. Of course I asked that the order be cancelled and hung up the phone. I'm not aware that there are two different bodies for the D300. I believe they are all a combination of polycarbonate and magnesium. Sounds like a scam to me.

Fraud / Illegal Company
I recently tried to buy a Nikon D60 from these guys, I bought it, then tried calling them to get more information on my order, but couldn't.

I called them and got a person asked about the Nikon D60, and they hung up on me.
Tried it again, called them asked about the Nikon D60, and they hung up on me.
Tried it for a third time, and they hung up on me.

I finally gave up and called my credit card company to decline any charges from the company..

If anyone has some free time, and wants to have some fun, call 800-496-0227 which is their customer service number, press 1 and then 1, and just ask about the Nikon D60. without fail they will hang up on you. If you want to have more fun, when you get a rep, swar at them, one word will do. You will be in for a treat. You will get everything from foul language to racist comments from the rep. I call on a daily basis, it's pretty fun.

One way to screw them for screwing me...
