I am a customer and user of StreetSmart Pro software from Charles Schwab Corp. StreetSmart Pro generates incorrect, missing and/or inaccurate charts, reports and information on nights (after midnight) and weekends:
1. On charts for the current or most recent trading day, the open, high, low, and closing prices for a stock are all the same as the closing price of the prior day. This is not correct and may also causes various "studies" or indicators to be wrong, e.g. moving averages, etc.
2. The StockScreener provides no results for any screens that are directly or indirectly based on the "Current Price."
Like many retail investors, I usually don't have time during the day to research stocks and investments. Most of the time I perform such activities at night or especially on weekends, but Schwab's software provides missing or misleading information at these times. I don't know who tests software at Schwab, but I would bet they do not test it at all the times their customers use it, i.e. after midnight (Eastern time zone) and/or on weekends. I have complained about this to Schwab, but the response was just an acknowledgement or apology with no commitment to do anything about it. Do they not care?
