We hired Troy Lair "The Compliance Doctor" to help us get our new DME/HME company started. After having many telephone conversations with him we hired him. He was to come down for a week after receiving his $4500.00 deposit. There were 3 of us that were going to have to take time off of work to spend the entire week training with him. We scheduled our training session with him Aug 25th thru Aug 31. He was suppose to fly in on Aug 24th. Since we didnt hear from him all day we called him that late afternoon. We recieved a email stating his mother was going in the hospital in Louisville, Kentucky and he couldnt make it because he had to fly there. After several days he stated that she died. So it seemed very suspicious on the timing of this death but things happen so I went with it. He apologized and we understood. He then scheduled another week long visit with us on Sept 7th. He texted that he would be in on Sept 6th with several mistakes in the texting switching dates around. At this time I started doubting him. We all changed our schedules for the week and were to meet him at 10am. When 10:15 arrived we called him and texted him over and over and never heard back from him. Late that afternoon he texted us not called and said he couldnt make it on the flight the day before and that was it. At this time we were very angry and knew we were being played because if not he would have called us the day before to cancel. I emailed and called him and told him we thought we were being scammed and would be asking for our money back soon if he would'nt come here. I then report him to the Better Business Bureu and write several complaints on line. He then apologizes via text again several days later and says he can come on the only week we blocked out. He knew would would'nt be able to do that week because one of the partners couldnt be there and were in a 2 day training course with our other business. So instead of saying "NO" I called his bluff and said come on down no problem we will work it out. Betting he would'nt show again after all the no calls or shows. If by some slim chance he did make it down here I would have worked with him and not the other partners. As I guessed he didnt show again. He was suppose to fly down on the 12th then it changed to the 13th then the 14th was the date. He even took a picture of the travel times he was going to come in. Anyway never texted or called yesterday that he was in town, which I figured it would happen. He then texted today to state he is very upset that I wrote to the BBB and wrote some complaints on him that could'nt be removed from the site. That was his only concern that it couldnt be removed after it was written. He recieved the email from the the BBB on the 9th so he did know about it before today. I have never spoke with Troy Lair "The Compliance Doctor" since he recieved our wire tranfer for $4500.00 over a month ago on the phone. Any conversation went to texting and some emails. This is a sign of a scam!!! He now says he is very angry what I wrote and will never give back our deposit. Well we will see about that. Any questions on this email me at [email protected].
