If a person is standing at a locked mail box in an apartment complex can the mail man hand them the mail for an address that they ask for? what if the person has an ID for the address that they are asking about? Would that person be intitled to get all of the mail or just the mail that has their name on it?
September 24, 2008 my mail was handed to a person who no longer lives at my apartment. Not just a selected item... ALL of the mail. When I got home the mail was on my door step!
I called the first person that came to mind and was told that they waited by the mail box for the mail to come and when the mail man came they asked if they had anything in the mail box he handed over the mail. Now one persons ID has the address on it. That still does not tell me how my mail goto out of the locked box to me. I have had to open my mail box while the mail man puts the mail in the other end at another apartment complex because he could not give it to me. Even though I talked to the mail man everyday he still would not hand over my mail. How in the world is it possible that this would happen. What if I didn't get all of my mail? I know I have rights and this is illegal, what can I do about this?
