Originally bought storage bed in early September '09. Never received phone call for delivery. Requested refund. Was told "no problem." Never received refund check. I'm looking to unite with others who want to sue The Door Store, or at least, unite. I believe we can get our money back. Consumers have rights. When I bought this bed, this company had already filed for Chapter 11. I was not aware of this. I was encouraged to pay cash or debit card for discount. Company did not do business in good faith. I had a similar horrible experience with The Door Store. I ordered mirrored wardrobes on August 26th and was promised them in 4-6 weeks. When I inquired at the six week mark, they told me they would not be ready till the end of October (approximately 8-9 weeks). Finally, I told them I would be in NYC for delivery only Nov 9 or 10 which would have been 12 weeks since ordered and of course they were not ready. It was only at that time did they offer to credit my credit card, that was November 6th. They said it would take 5-7 business days for credit. It is now November 28th and they have not processed my $1, 622.22 credit on my card. Of course I placed a dispute within 10 business days with my credit card company. They now blame it all on mergering with another company. You would think that they would want to protect their name and please their customers in the process. They are being bought by American Signature Furniture which I have also had experience with and it was a GOOD experience...unlike The Door Store. Another wonderful store to shop at for furniture...Room and Board. Excellent.

The Door Store was going under and into bankruptcy and it is now clear why.
