I went into the store with my family looking to purchase a sofa. one employee showed me a floor sample sofa that was on sale it was heavily damaged with a loose leg. i told him i would only buy it if it was fixed. the employee said ok. i told him i was not sure about the sofa and i would come back if i wanted to make the deal. he said come back in a day i will fix it and then you tell me if you want to buy it. i came back later with my mother and told her to tell the employee who offered me the deal on the couch, that Ok if i like the couch ill come back and buy it. she went in and came back with a receipt.my mother signed my name for me and i thought nothing of it. the next day i went to go see the sofa and it was worse than the day before the couch was still damaged. so i told the manager that the employee told me he was gonna fix it he told me. that's a floor sample i told him i knew that but the agreement was that i would only buy it if it was fixed he then said if "i dont like it dont buy it get store credit".i wanted my money back because they didn't stick up to their side of the agreement he said that they don't give cash refunds after a deal has been made. i told him that the deal was if the couch was fixed i would buy it. i showed him the receipt with my name on it and it wasnt even signed by me and i wasn't even in the room when the employee told my mother to sign the paper. he said it didn't matter if it was my hand writing or not or even if i was there when she signed he doesn't check id for deals made with cash. They made my mother sign a piece of paper for me without letting me know or her that there was no refunds and even though the deal wasn't set they refused to give me my money back siting that it says no refunds on the receipt. my mother went in to talk with them and they told her they would fix the couch and if i didn't like it they would give me my money back. i didnt they still said no cash back
i have reported them to the bbb and am continuing in my pursuit of justice
