Purchased a Gretsch Guitar along with Service Contract at Guitar Center of Warwick, RI. Guitar began to fall apart at guitar lessons within months. After simple do it yourself repairs my Instructor said " get your money back" because of how quickly the instrument conntiued to fall apart. The Guitar Center said "they don't hanlde service" and "call the service provider." We spoke with "TheServicePort.com" and they wouldn't cover the request as well. They said "they only cover electrical components and not menchanical."
We paid $699.99 to Guitar Center for Guitar and $59.99 to Guitar Center for the Service Coverage which was not disclosed that we would need to go thru sperate coverage center for repairs.
The guitar is 7 months old and like new with the exception of screws falling out of stripped holes, plugs loosing fastening nuts and, string tightening screws non functional. Neither the Guitar Center nor The Service Port would cover the problems.
We will be contacting the Better Business Buereau and NEVER purchase from either provider.
