loan modification gone wrong
Contacted the Jaimison and Sosa law group a/k/a The Jaimison law group in September of 2009 to do a loan modification on my mortgage which is a 80/20 two loans with the same servicer. I paid an upfront fee of $3, 000.00 which they broke up into two payments. Once they received their payment they went to work on my file. The firm was consistant in the begining, and requested all documents from me that the bank asked for or which I provided them. A few months into the process I got a letter in the mail from mortgage company telling me that I was given a forebearance on the unpaid portion of my mortgage. I quickly notified the law firm informing them of the new news. The law firm said that this was good news and that once the forebearance is finished ten months later, then my laoan modification will be finialized. Seven months into the forebearance, bank notified me and said that I could not afford the second monthly payment of my loan and took me off of the forbearance . At this time I notified the law firm to find out why?...they didn't really have an answer, but said that they will need the same information again to start it up once more. By this time it's mid August and I also informed the law firm that my wife lost her job. Law firm requested unemployment papers. When I tried to fax over the documents, all of the numbers to the law firm were disconnected? there was no way to contact them? Going forward, in January of 2011 I received a letter from a Glenn Kurtis esq from white plains with the Jaimison law groups heading on it stating that If I wanted them to continue to represent me, then I must contact them with the new number that they provided. So I did and attorney Glenn Kurtis esq forwarded me the law firms new number. when i called they said that my mortgage co won't budge. That's not what mortgage co is saying.
