This company has other related websites that all operate in the same way but come under the umbrella of the Online Shopping Company.
I ordered a case of real ale from them on 5/02/11 and received the usual confirmation email and a subsequent one promising delivery the following week. The day after it failed to arrive, I received an "order update" promising delivery the following week - the same thing happened a further 6 times by which time I had emailed them to complain. I had an automated response but no specific one and continued to receive the updates. On closer inspection I saw that they stated that failure to respond to emails was due to their powerful anti spam-filters - I had already ensured that it was in plain text. Having got nowhere this way I looked for a way to cancel my order - they don't take online cancellations due to "security" and will only allow cancellations by letter. So I wrote a letter to them and sent it by recorded delivery and a few days later the emails stopped and my order was shown as "cancelled" on my online account.
However, I am still to be refunded - my next recorded delivery letter is winging its way and I've put in a complaint to Consumer Direct.
