June 4th 2009 I called the Miami line of the Single Gourmet. I was refered by friends and excited to try a different type of Singles event. I spoke to owner, Barry Adelman and said I was only interested in Miami Dade county events, I would not travel to Broward. Did they have Miami events, he stated yes. They were all over and on the website it has Coral Gables, Sobe and The Grove. I asked which locations for that month and he said I would need to join to receive the information. I received the mailed app( which is basic with no legalities or exclusions and I did not sign anything) I mailed him a $99 check. My check was cashed June 8 and I received no info until I called. He said it was mailed out and I would get email newsletter. Finally got info emailed on June 25 and mail on July 6th. All events were in Broward and Palm Beach counties. I emailed to please refund my money, no response. I then called to please refund my money, no response. Finally reached him and he said no refunds and I heard what I wanted to hear. Nasty guy. My friends spoke to him with no results. So as of December 2009 there has not been a Miami Dade Event and he does not send me emails or newsletters anymore. All I want is my $99 back.
