This is my 5th time at the Standard Hotel's bar-restaurant. I'm sitting by the pool. It's really hot and i feel dehydrated so i order a glass of water with lemon among the 8$ rasberry mojito and the 15$ burger. The waiter tells me they only have bottled water. I ask him to repeat. He confirms. I tell
him that if he doesn't bring me a glass of water with my order, that i'll just leave right now and speak to a manager before doing so. He brings me the glass. I had a good time. The second time i went, i ordered the same thing. I got into the same problem and threatened a waitress this time to bring me the glass of water or have me talk to her manager. She brings me the glass of water. Now you can picture the rest. The 3 other times i went and asked for a glass of water, i got into the same problem. So it is apparently hotel policy to refuse giving their customers water. They have to sell bottled water. They actually break the law right in front of you, assuming you don't know your rights. I intend to go back to the hotel because i like it... but if i have to confront the hotel about my rights each time, i might just end up giving up and going somewhere else.
