Last Christmas I recieved "The Wine Enthusiast" corkscrew set, it fell apart after approximately half a dozen uses. Today I decided to contact "The Wine Enthusiast" online, explained the problem and was instructed to contact Customer Service at 1-800-356-8466 ext. 13606. The woman that answered was very rude, telling me I had to buy another one, when I told her that I felt it was very expensive for only six uses she snapped that she didn't think it cost too much in the first place! When I asked how the company might help me she was silent for a long time, I repeated my question, thinking that perhaps she hadn't heard me and she curtly responded with "is there anything ELSE?" She had not identified herself when she answered the phone, refused to identify herself when I asked for her name or technician number and when I asked to speak with a supervisor she transferred me to someone named "Allan" voice mail. No apology, no thank you or please hold, just click. If the poor quality of my corkscrew had been a fluke I feel the customer service representative would have been more surprised and compassionate, she was neither so I believe that they know their products are of poor quality and don't care about the consumer after they've initially gotten the money. After leaving "Allan" a voice mail, I posted my opinin of their product on The Wine Enthusiast website, later when I checked only good comments were posted - I don't know why I was surprised.
