They are crooks period
I purchased an alternator from TheAutoPartsStore.com (AKA) Auto Parts Giant.com which they merged in Sept. of this year. When I received the alternator it was bad, I called them and they said they would call back but of course they never did. I paid $172.26 and got screwed. Now when you try to call them the number is always busy, how convenient. Whatever you do, “do not purchase a part from either place”, they do not honor their warrantees. They are crooks period.

Service sucks
I ordered a MAF which did not work correctly. I spoke to them over the phone and they advised they could only exchange for a new one, they would not return the item. I then spoke to the Nissan dealership (2002 Xterra is the vehicle) who advised aftermarket MAF's never work. They ordered a factory MAF and it now works fine. I tried to return the aftermarket MAF for the core, which I was told was authorized and now they will not even do that.

faulty part
I ordered a MAF from theautopartsstore.com. I installed it and it did not work. I went to the dealer and they ran codes which showed the MAF was still faulty. They advised the aftermarket MAF's do not work in Nissan vehicles. They ordered a factory MAF I installed it and it works perfectly. I spoke to the theautopartsstore who advised they could not return the part they could only give a core for it. I completed their online form and they called me. The rep on the phone was rude and advised they could not give me a core they could only exchange the part. So they sold me a faulty part that will never work and they refuse to acknowledge this.

bad alternator

I installed the alternator two days latter. Drove the car 80 miles, because the alternator does not work the battery ran down and I was stranded along the side of the road.
I want know how to sent it back and would like (if you send me another one) for a product check to be made. It would be correct for the technician to put a load on the alt before sending it to me.
Do I send it back to warranty@autopartsgiant or The autopartsstore from whence it came?
Todays date is now 10/4/08 and I have been emailing (thepartsgiant.com) and the Email does not respond form their web sight.. Will try to contact by phone and mail service.
Have not been able to drive my car realy neet someone to solve this problem.
