No camera,no service,no one answering transfers
I have twice ordered and confirmed both the order, the status and all information for two canon bodies over a years time of ordering. No camera, no service, no one answering transfers.
yes, appears to be bait and switch for bodies. so many transfers and holding on calls that these guys surely are being paid by the phone companies.

The open box and charge seperately for each piece
I ordered a cannon videocam priced about $200 less than any competition. Place order monday. Received an email immediately after placing the online order asking me to call and confirm the order. When I made a comment that it was unusual to have to call a company after placing an order, he mumbled something and hung up. I chose 3 day shipping, and 4 days later it dawned on me that I had not received any shipping confirmation or tracking number. I called today, Thursday, at 3:25 p.m. and got a recording saying they were closed. Their website says their customer service is open Mon-Thursday 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. and they are closed at 3:25. I did a google search and found literally hundreds of complaints. I called Canon and they said that they are not an authorized dealer. They don't allow dealers who don't have brick and mortar stores with a street address. They are lying about being a wholesaler to the public. If you poke around on the site, you will find the price breakdown, where the body of the camera is $325. The battery is $220, the accessories pack is ... and it all adds up to far more than the competition charges for the whole package. Whoever heard of selling cameras without the things it needs to operate. There are reports them fradulently using your credit card number for thousands of dollars. This company is a scam, and they operate under more than one web address. Check this address, or rip offs.com or amazon.com consumer reports and you a ration of 100:1 unsatisfied customers. They have an over all customer sastifaction rating of .27 on a 5 scale. If you gave them your credit card, cancel the card.

Extra charges, scam
At first all seemed well, until I got a email to confirm my order of a in-dash nav system. This seems like a nice way to maintain security but do not be fooled. Once I actually got to a human on the other end there were suddenly more than $200 of extra charges tacked on to my order for "shipping insurance"... I ship things of high value (much higher than the Item I was ordering) on a regular basis and NOTHING has ever cost me $190 to insure shipping within the lower 48, let alone the original $40 to ship on top of that ( the stated shipping quote on the web site order confirmation was $39.98) This is a fly by night organization with full intent on ripping off the customer. Do not be fooled, the prices look great on the surface but you will be hit with extra charges for things not disclosed on the website when completing the order, as well as harassed to purchase "extended warranties" when you call to confirm.

Fraud and scam
This company is obviously just an internet bait and switch co. They advertise the lowest price to get you to place the order and then try to sell you other items you don’t want, and they never did ship my product; here is my story.
I placed an order over the web in the evening and got a confirming email that the order was received. The next day I got an email saying I must call to confirm the order; so I did. The sales person confirmed the order and then tried to sell me other items related to my purchase. I advised him I was not interested in other items. He was obviously irritated and said my order would ship in 1 to 2 day and hung up.
About 1 week later I still have not received the order or shipping confirmation. I called to check on it and was told the item was out of stock and on back order; it could be 4 to 5 weeks before they could ship. I said fine I would wait. About 2 weeks later I still had not received the order so I called and just simply said I wanted information for a product I saw on their web site. I gave them the product description and asked if the product was in stock (this is the same product I already had an open order for). They assured me it was in stock and said they could ship in 1 to 2 days. I asked them to double check the stock; they but me on hold and came back an assured me the item was in stock. I then asked them to ship the item against my open order no.; I was put on hold for a while. Then the sales person came back and said they could ship the item and again tried to sell me additional items which I declined. I was told the product would ship in 1 to 2 days. A week later I still had not received the product nor shipping confirmation and my account had not been charged yet; so I canceled the order via email.

Lies and no reply
I ordered a camera, never got it. Kept calling they never answered, emailed they never answered. Every time i called if they knew or found out i was trying to cancel an order they put me on hold then hung up... Finally got a manager he stated camera was on back order but if i ordered a warranty they could send a camera right out... made no sense so i canceled it he was rude and said they didn't have a cancellation confirmation number and hung up...

Bait & switch on camera purchase!
I got taken advantage of when I recently purchased a new Canon compact digital camera. This company advertised the lowest price on the web, and then when they force you to call them back to verify the purchase, the hammer comes down. Oh, well, the camera you purchased only comes with a 20 minute battery and memory for 4 photos. You'll surely want to upgrade to a special memory card and 5hr. battery. The case which came with the camera was a cheap generic one which didn't come close to matching the camera. I can purchase the same at Walmart for $4.99! Anyway, by the time I got these extras at an amazingly LOW price (by their standards!) my $138 camera was up to $300!
I almost got taken AGAIN today. I noticed a GPS nav. sys. which was cheaper at their website than any other site on the web, by $10. Again, I had to call the company to VERIFY my purchase, very unusual practice, and then the hammer came again. Well, this unit comes with NO MAPS installed WE, out of the goodness of our hearts, can load not only this years map data but next year as well, for the amazingly LOW price of $89 (magic price spot for them). Well, I agreed, and the price of the $129 GPS unit went up to $249! Surprise? I went on the web to research this company and then noticed all the warnings on the camera electronics blogs about staying away from this crooked company. I called to cancel immediately, and I was told that since I was a new customer, (I wasn't new, only enlightened!) that I would receive a $40 discount! Surprise? I told them to keep their $40, and that I was canceling the order. I immediately called my credit card company as well. We'll see if they actually canceled the order, because I rec'd a confirmation and invoice after my call.

Terrible company!
Very frustrated with this company. I placed my order online. Called the next day to confirm it and dealt with a very rude salesperson. The following day when I called to check the status of shipping, the clerk was friendly and said it should ship within 24-48 hours of the order. Now, six days later, I find out that the product is on backorder. Each time I've called, I've been on hold for an excessive amount of time. I have sent two e-mails which have not been answered, but my credit card was not charged. I canceled my order and that was the easiest part of this whole transaction. Bad news company!

Horrible service!
The service is terrible. Yesterday, I place an order from thecameraprofessionals.com. the reply email said I have to confirm the billing information by calling 800-496-0227. I have tried call over 10 times. Each time need wait for long time, before someone answered me. It either hung-up right way or somebody tried to sell more things to me. If I say no, the phone hung-up. Today, a guy answered me and told me if you don’t buy battery from us I will cancel you order.
This is the worst online sell I ever see.

Bogus Advertisement/Worst customerservice
I tried to buy Garmin GPS.The camera professional website said one price and I ordered using my credit card. Then I got an e mail to call them.I called them they said that price is for 2004 maps for GPS!!.And if i need this years map I have to pay $80 extra which adds up even more than local electronics shop price. When I mentioned this the guy said I am complaining and told me he is cancelling the order and hang up on me.
This company misrepresents price to customers to attract traffic to their website. They have very unprofessional staff for customer service.Donot buy stuff from the camera professinals website

Bait & switch
This has got to be the worst e-business I've ever had the misfortune to deal with! Placing an order is easy, but if you need customer service, well thats a concept they have yet to implement! They will only answer their phone if you choose the "sales" prompt. Don't make the mistake of choosing the customer service prompt as you'll just hear the phone ring and ring until it just disconnects you!
I'm not 100% sure, but after listening to the recorded prompts from the cameraUNprofessionals, I believe they also do business as Techondigital.com as they both have the same skipping, stalling recording and the same habit of listing an item in stock when in reality they don't order an item until a customer does!
If you do happen to speak with a live person, the man I got was rude, arrogant and obnoxious! Also be aware that the glowing "customer reviews" were written by them, not actual customers!
