Emergency Room
I took my 3 year old son to Thomas Hospital last night for a Serve Reaction he was having from his antibiotic. It was 8:30 on Friday night so we went straight to the emergency room. We waited in the emergency room for about an hour before we where called back. Once we got to the back rooms a nurse saw us saying they where going to try some Benadryl wait an hour and see if it worked. We waited 2 hours after that never heard from the nurse again or a doctor. I went out to ask a recept to get the nurse because the reaction was getting worse, the receptionist then told me the nurse would be right in to look at him. Another hour and a half goes buy no nurse... no doctors... and the reactions is now all over my sons body. Attempt number 2 I pushed the red button requesting his nurse because the reaction was spreading fast and waited... . Finally after over 4 hours at the ER I tell my husband that we should just go to Wal-Mart and get some childrens Benadryl and Aveeno soothing bath for Rashes, Poision Ivy, and Hives. My son was asleep by then and resting as comfortable as expected under he circumstances. I thank God that my son's reaction had not been so serve to close this throat. I was very Blessed, but it is sad that I had to wait that long, and still not get my son the help he needed... I called CVS in Robertsdale the next morning and told them the type of medicine how much was given and what was happening. They told me exactly what to give him for it and how much. Wonderful wonderful wonderful work to the CVS Pharmacy! They will always get my business, and as for Thomas Hospital I left with out signing anything, I can't wait to see if I get a bill from them...
