I began working with Emily Thomas May 24, 2011. I paid half the service fees up front for 12 weeks of 3 times a week personal training. I paid $100 a week up until recently. I have paid in $1600 and received only 16 training session, which include my paying when cancelling for sickness or work. She cancelled sessions at last minute to plan her wedding, as well as wanting to push sessions back for personal plans. She spent one session of mine working on her wedding centerpieces and many sessions wanting to discuss her issues with her fiance and matron of honor. She was not fully engaged in most of my sessions. Once I stopped paying because I had yet to receive full services for payment rendered thus far, it became apparent she was concerned with finishing our verbal agreement to obtain her $2400 for 36 sessions.
We decided to speak, she wanted to know if we were going to finish out 36 sessions by September and I wanted to discuss my dissatisfaction with services. The conversation did not go smoothly she continued to raise her voice and talk over me then told me to never call her again and hung up. At which point I decided to file a BBB compliant.
As of 8:34 am I began receiving text messages from Emily Thomas of Thomas Personal training. She received the BBB compliant. I was very professional in my reply to her (and have saved all text messages as proff). She goes on to say "you are nothing more than a hateful, bitter and evil person".
I eventually said "Name calling is certainly unprofessional and I am glad you chose to put such in writing." I then said, "Please do not contact me unless it is to reach a suitable resolution and through the BBB."
She continued texting me and even began being condescending (referring to me a sweetheart and sunshine). Stated she "I am on very good terms with the BB and know them there." She also stated she does not intend to continue her business (I assume because is engaged and to move to Augusta in a September) "so talk or write all you want, it and you will not have any importance in my life."
