warranty
I have had a contract with this company for a long time, infact, they had to give me a new tv sometime in 2007. I forgot about renewing the contract, because they did not send me anything in the mail like they normally do. I called and ask why didn't they send me a statement so that I could continue the contract. They said that after 10 years they didn't renew contracts, but they never said this before, that it was in their policy, I told them that I wanted to see a copy of that policy, but they said they couldn't do that. I told them that was just a lie to keep me for renewing the contract on the new tv, that they didn't want to have to give me another one if this one tore up. They don't tell you this stuff when you but one of their products. I told that person that when you trade in anm old car you get to take out a new warranty. I think this is a scam and somthing should be done about it. If you will give me an address I will send you a copy of the contract and it says nothing about you can't renew it after so many years. This is one of the sentences--This service contract will not be cancelled by us except for nonpayment. If they had wanted my money they would have send out a letter begging for me to take out another contract. They didn't send anything explaining about not being able to renew. I think they should stand behind their word and let me take out another contract. It also states in the contract that --Your request for cancellation must be in writing and accompanied by your original Service Contract document. Well, I have the original document and I did not write to cancell, why would I buy an expensive tv(24, 000) and not keep the contract on it. Is there anything that you can do? Is this another way that Americans get screwed in America????Please send me an address to mail you a copy of this contract, also I want to see that in writing about their policy. Thank you for time and help me out, Bonnie Taylor
