Harrassment
I have been getting constantly harassed by this apartment complex. I have ALWAYS paid my rent on time and have been a great tenant since I have lived here since Dec 2008. As of late the complex changed Management, which might I add is completely unprofessional. I contacted this office late July in regards to signing a new yearly lease, from my month to month lease...sounds simple, NOT. I was told since their office was in the midst of a switch over to be patient to receive my new lease. I contacted this apartment non-stop everyday all the way up to August 5th (the last day to pay rent). I was finally told to go ahead and pay the reduced amount for the yearly lease and the lease will be dropped in my mailbox so I can sign it. I was AGAIN asked to be patient. On August 18th I was severed with a 5 day notice. I frantically contacted the office of the complex to gain an understanding as to why I was served with such a notice. I was told I owed $100 due to being short on my August rent. I explained my story about a thousand times to several individuals within this office. I began a complete run-around with this office of calling and broken promises of return calls. Since I was not getting any resolution I had to deal with returning home each day not knowing if my belongings will be placed on the street. I finally started to get somewhere when on 9/4/2010 I was told by a person in the office that there was a lease present in their office dated for August 1st for a new yearly lease. The woman that worked in the office was completely oblivious as to why I was not given this lease to sign since it obviously supported what I had been going back in forth with this office since July. I was then told to come in on 9/5/2010 to sign this lease and the previous late fees would be waived. I still asked for the Manager to call me back so I can personally speak with her regarding the matter, I never received a phone call. I went up to the office demanding a resolution to this matter on 9/5/2010. I was then given this lease that has been sitting in the office for over a month for review and signature. I was told that my September rent will be $350 for the resigning of the lease, which I have this copy of the lease reflecting this information. I signed the lease and paid the $350, was given a receipt and told everything has been squared away. Sounds like this horrible fiasco is over right...NO!!! I then today 9/14/2010 received yet ANOTHER 5 day notice stating I owe a balance of $630, which I am completely confused as to how that amount came to be. I have contacted the office yet again to receive their voice mail as I always seem to do. Oh and I completely forgot to mention I am 6 months pregnant and under such a high level of stress due to this ridiculous situation. This Management office is a complete joke and has absolutely no idea how to conduct a business nor treat it's tenants what-so-ever. NEVER RENT HERE ...EVER!!!
