As I had used Aruba as a transit airport between the US and Venezuela (Las Piedras), on my return I had a sour taste of this airline employees and operation in Punto Fijo, FALCON-Venezuela (Las Piedras Airport).
I purchased my tickets via their web site on June 14, 2009 so I can go to Las Piedras after arriving from the US on July 23, 2009, and then going back to Aruba on August 9, 2009 so I could continue traveling back to the US on August 10, 2009 along with my son.
As I arrived at the airport in Las Piedras around 1 1/2 hours before departure, I found the flight "CLOSED" as they within the two hours they "recommend" had sold all seats of passengers that were not there at those two hours.
It is irresponsible of this airline to re-sell tickets of passengers that have already completed one leg of their trip. They told me they had to charge a $60 fee and fly on stand by the next day.
I have already lost a one-night reservation in Aruba where I was going to stay with my son before going to the US on Monday, Delta Airlines is also charging me a $360.50 fee to change my flight to THURSDAY AUGUST 13, 2009!
This action of Tiara Airlines employees in Las Piedras caused a few passengers to loose all this time and money just because they want to fill their airplanes, charge standby passengers a full fair, charge original passengers also the full fair, as well as the "change of flight fee"
Makes me not want to ever come back to Venezuela via Aruba or fly with Tiara Airlines.
Sorry Tiara, your employees in Punto Fijo are money thirsty employees.
