Unable to fulfill order
Purchased a lightscribe external DVD on 6/3/2011. On 6/8/2011, tigerdirect.com requested that the product be returned to them (something about a service interruption, which after speaking to 4 different customer service reps, including a supervisor, still has not been explained). On 6/10/2011, I spoke to customer service, who then told me I had to return the item (the same item they requested by returned) before they would send another out (she eventually assured me it would be shipped on Tuesday). On 6/13/2011, my account had been noted that my order was being held until they had confirmation from the customer, which I called in, was told that was an error, and a second customer service rep advised it had in fact shipped and would be received on Tuesday or Wednesday. On 6/15/2011, my account was still showing the item had not shipped and needed customer response, which I called a third time, and was told that it would be another 48 hours before the item would ship (despite assurances on 6/13/2011 it was already shipped). Finally asked for a supervisor (and my 4th member of customer service) who told me a story contradictory to all of the other stories by the first three reps. I finally just cancelled my order.

ineptness with shipping
I have just spent over 90 minutes over two days trying to get answers. I found your email through a consumers complaint website. So here goes. We placed an order on 3/7/2011 for many components. We received the majority of the shipment via Yellow freight approximately 3/15/2011. The main part, the server, was apparently back ordered. Now I notice that there was no packing list sent that explain what was actually in the shipment. Had there been more info I would not be having this problem now. The problem is that the software for the $900 server has not come! I have a server sitting here that is useless. I had installers come twice now (first time because we assumed that the server was in the original shipment. second when we got the server) to install and they can't do it. It seems that the software is separate and would come separately - something the order does not say. And since there wasn't a comprehensive packing list we had no idea the software was not in the box with the server. So the installers called on 4-8-2011 to get some answers - 3 hours later the only thing we got out of that call was "it was going to be here on Monday (4-11-2011)" Well that date came and went - no software, no server install... I called on 4-14-2011 and spoke with Otto and Mike only to be further frustrated. Otto told me that it shipped on 3-8-2011 and it was freight (Yellow)! I said its software why would you freight an envelope basically? I finally got him to send over a copy of the order status. I read it and see that the software shipped on 4-8--2011 (which made me think it was on the way - and was due here on the 11th) Wrong. Mike then tells me that the shipment is lost and will start an investigation. I am looking for a simple tracking number - I'm sure you've ordered on line and got an email almost immediately with a tracking number and anticipated arrival date! I do. I ordered shoes and know that they will be at my door when I get home tonight. So I called again today to find out a tracking number yet again! Am told the investigation just started yesterday and would take 8-10 DAYS to complete - are you serious? Make a call, send an email! I inquired as to where the shipment was lost - was it between the drop shipper and your warehouse (cause I was told yesterday that all orders go to your warehouse and then ship to customers) and yet today I was told that it could be direct or through your warehouse. Now we're talking over $1, 200.00 that is just "lost"! Dennis who I was talking with today, told me that I have to wait for the investigation to be done before any refund could be issued. I said I want the software NOW! I said so how can I get the software now and was told I could shop elsewhere! Love how Tiger Direct treats its customers!!! I spoke with a manager - Steve who told me after I asked - that I have an account rep! With a direct number - so all those minutes on hold could have been avoided! So Now I am going to call Rafael Monday to see what the "investigation" has found out! Seriously 8-10 days to just find a simple tracking number...

Horrible Experience
After purchaseing a cheap steering wheel a thrustmaster universal challenge it went bad on the 31st day of having it. The wheel came with a 2 year warranty after contacting tigerdirect i was told to contact thrustmaster which sent me back to tiger with this email

Ok, so finally tiger will do a return but instead of a return they charge a 2nd steering wheel to my card without permission I call them back to get this charge canceled they did and gave me a shipping label and ra number but when i checked my bank acount they still charged for the wheel which over drafter me by 12 dollars. If I had this kind of money I would not have bought a cheap steering wheel in the first place. So my cheap steering wheel of 29.99 has costed me 63 dollars and some change and more to come on monday when bank adds more over draft charge. Thank you tigerdirect for being so great. I have purchased and sent more to tiger to purchase products over the years but never again.

Tiger Direct is not in compliance with CAN SPAM Act. The opt out link in their emails does not work. Calls to the company do nothing.
These people are creating enemies. For what? Why would anyone pissed off by spam then buy something from them? Or if one is not irate one would probably see these folks as incompetant at the least. Bad PR.

I bought this unit 5 months ago from TIGERDIRECT.COM for my son that comes and visits every other week end. It has maybe been used 10 to 15 hours. This is a complete rip off. TIGERDIRECT told me they don't handle or gaurentee this product and would have to contact [email protected] ...Your telling me that the xbox that was sold to me was refurbished to it's original new condition and that your company stands behind any work or I guess it doesn't. You should be reported as a scam company with absolutely zero credibility. I can not believe you have the gull to tell me your willing to recycle this. You should go to prison for fraud and miss representation. How could a xbox with so little hours be diagnosed with an outcome and reply "we don't believe anyrepairs we could do would hold up". It's obvious your company knew this when they sold it to me. Be careful what you buy from tigerdirect!

False advertising
They conduct false advertising.
They advertise that a server would ship in 1 to 2 days. After the order was placed and they withdrew the money from the account, the confirmation states that the order will ship up to 10 days later. When the customer service people were contacted they agreed that there website said the order would ship in 1 to 2 days but also said that this is drop shipped from a 3rd party and they have no control. This is BS. They manage the relationship with the 3rd party. If the 3rd party can't meet the order demand then Tiger Direct should not be promoting the fact that they can deliver in 1 to 2 days.

never shipped and charged cr card
I purchased, I thought, monitor and motherboard from them. I was given a order number and told it would arrive no later than 2/19.
After I checked my bank account and verified they processed the payment, I called the company on the 18th and asked what the status was. They told me they waiting for payment!. I told them they were paid. they proceeded to give me the run around.
Then get this they charged my account a 2nd time!... I cancelled the order told them I want both charges refunded. Of course it is going to take 5 days . I called my bank and I am disputing both charges. this company really sucks pig scat.

Crooks
We bought an internet security software with $70 mail in rebate. After filing a rebate on line and sending it in with all the papers and info they requested I happened to check if it was finally processed and maybe sent by now. To my surprise it said that something wasn't valid. Don't know when this kind of ripoff going to end but looks like this is the way they make the extra cash!!! Crooks.
