I made the mistake of hiring Empire to install tile in my house. The installers did a significant amount of damage to my house. The installers knocked out chunks of wood from the door frames and baseboards. They actually tried to use caulk to hide the damage. Portions of baseboard were destroyed and puck back on the wall like a puzzle. The real treat is trying to get Empire to fix the issues. Empire actually thinks people should work around their schedule to have someone come out and inspect their substandard work. An inspector did come out, at a time convenient for me, which resulted in sending a repair crew to fix the substandard work performed by the first crew. The repair crew added to the damage. The carpet butting up to the tile was ruined because they burnt it with something.
The salesman told me exactly how things would go to make the entire process as smooth as possible. I was told Empire would call me the night before the installation to let me know when the installers would be arriving. I didn't get a call so I called them. The rude girl on the phone told me someone would be at my house between 8 and 6 pm. The salesman told me my installation would start at 8 and would take two days. The installers showed up at my door a little before 10. It took them three very long days to install tile in a kitchen and bathroom.
The salesman told me to call if I had any issues and he would make sure everything was taken care of. He never answered my calls.
