treating me like a slave
I have worked for a few different Tim Hortons across the country and never in my life have i been treate like I have at the one in Westbank, BC. I have worked there for about 3 months. The first lie came when they hired me to be the baker and that never happened. I am a very good worker and the co workers I worked with always made it clear to me that I was, But the morning of November 3 2009, I was alone in the front of the store from 12:30am until 5am all alone I got everything done that I needed to do and then at about 4:15am I got a huge morning rush. The supervisor came in at 5am and said that I must have stood around all night because none of the stock was full and the floors were a mess, keep in mind that this is the busiest store in central BC and I was completley alone. I was doing drive thru and counter by myself . I was treated like I was stupid. I was put on graveyards temporarily or so I thought. I requested to go on day shift because of family issues they told me it would not happen there is lie number 2. I was due for a review and they did not intend on giving to me until the new year. That is unfair everyone is entitled to their benefits and raise after your 90 days. I would definately say that if you can get a job in the fast food industry Tim Hortons is NOT the way to go. They say in there add that they have flexible shifts BULLSHIT. They do what souits them and remember if they have family working for them it is so much worse. THey are all about them to hell with the employees that they are not related too. I will never ever in my life work for them again. Nor will my husband he quit because of the way they treated him they treat their good employees like shit and the bad ones do know wrong. So if you have any dignity or respect for yourself you will never apply at a tim hortons.

bee in coffee
I ordered tim bits but had to exchange them because they were hard and stale. The tim bits that were given to me next had a fly on it, that too was returned. Then while finishing my coffee I looked at the bottom of my cup and there was a huge bee at the bottom of my cup. When I told the manager she was very rude and gave me my money back, I told her it was not the money, she replied "what do you want me to do?"

Employees treated poorly
Hi
About 5 months ago i had decided to leave the gas station attendant job at the gas station i was working at, & left to join the Tim Hortons we had in the same building.
I left because of the promise of more $, the guarantee of more hours & insurance after 3 months plus a raise...
Well if i knew now...haha
I am admitting that i had made the mistake a few times of saying to a regular customer:(I'll pay your coffee 2 day) & I would usually pay with my tips, but it had happened during the morning rushes where i forgot. I am human!!
Now instead of the manager coming to me & letting me know I had forgotten...she said nothing & well honestly did the same...
About apparently 2 months later the 14 th of july to b exact...I'm told that I'm fired.
Like i said i admit to making the mistake of forgetting to pay...but what came afterwards wuz a surprise to me.
Now the coffee issue was dealt with & well I'm out of a job. I had spoken to the owner & the manager was present...But 2 days afterwards I find out the manager is saying that there had been money that had been going missing over the past lil while & started telling all the employees that it was obviously me, that im a theif ect...
The worst thing about this is that i find this out through my roomate who i worked with.
Now I had spoken to the owner again & he said he haden't heard anything about that & if it was me he would know cause they have a surveillance system...
I never saw the raise, or the insurance that Timhortons promises...
I slaved in that small restaurant...made them pass their audits in the kitchen, my x manager even told me ( if u werent here we would of failed).
Now I've worked in restaurants on & off during the past 16 years that i have been working...
I have never experienced this type of shit!
If u r thinking of working at Tim Hortons...think long & hard.
the promise of tips could b interesting...but in the long run u may get screwed...because u made a few mistakes & your manager is as stupid & non caring as mine was, You'll be in for 1 hell of a ride...

POOR SERVICE POOR POOR
After purchasing a chicken salad sandwich on a white bun and a tea black with the bag in this is what i actually recieved a toasted chicken, tomatoe, and lettuce on whole wheat, I didnt recieve the milk and sugar for my tea like I asked for either. When I returned to the store the long haired younge punk that claimed to be a supervisor ( I serioulsy doubt he can supervise himself taking a pee much less a Coffee shop) he would not return my money unless I produced a receipt for my purchase...lol has anyone ever been given a receipt going threw the drive thru?
TIM'S SERVICE IS AS USUAL IN THE DRIVE THRU ... ITS A JOKE
AND THEY HAVE THE NERVE TO UP THE PRICES AGAIN ./..
WE SHOULD ALL BOYCOYTT TIM HORTONS JUST FOR A WEEKEND...!!!

Bad All Over
I am not exaggerating when I say the MAJORITY of my orders come out wrong.
Consistently I stand waiting in a line of three when a dozen timmy's employees are behind the counter bumping into each other, lost and ignoring me.
They jack up the price of the food, reducing portions and expecting us to not notice, relying on the fact that people will still endorse them because they are somehow "Canada's Beloved Chain"
These are not isolated incidents, but systemic failures and swindlings designed to maximize profits with little care for those who provide those profits.
This has to end. Complacent Canadians need to go elsewhere for coffee: McDonalds, Starbucks... anywhere but "Timmy's". Lets teach them a lesson NOW!

Hedious service
Tim Horton a Canadian symbol? It's a joke, at least in this franchise: (2141 boulevard Lapiniere Brossard, QC J4W 1L7)
Lowest quality service and most disgusting management I've ever experienced! It is shocking to learn that Canadians love this brand!
No one speaks English there, when I tried speaking French to explain my nut allergy problem, all were extremely impatient and the supervisor (an Arabian boy) would not listen at all and snubbed my complaint multiple times after I told him how bad the workers' attitude is.
When I asked a female worker (she said I was stupid) to apologize, she shouted at me and and said her father is the owner.
When I insisted that they apologize, the supervisor threatened that he would call 911. I sat there waiting for 20 minutes and turned out he did not call. First time being threatened by a customer service personnel...
At Tim Horton, the food is not bad, but I'll NEVER go there again because of extremely poor quality of service.

Digging for gold
Think of the most disgusting thing imaginable. If that sort of thing bothers you, skip this post..
This happened this morning at the Tims at Kennedy and Derry. I walked in like most mornings, and today there was nobody in line. Just the two employees chatting at their respective cash registers. The one on the left (trying to be discrete) had half her index finger jammed up her nose.
Sorry folks but that's not the gross part. Just my luck she asks "Can I help you". I reluctantly ordered my coffee from her. I'm getting the chills as I watch her make the coffee, handling the spoon and lid both with the same hand she was cleaning house with.
She takes my money and hands over the coffee, and I nearly threw it on the floor when I felt something stuck onto the side of the cup. I grabbed a napkin and wiped it off in absolute disgust.. This has completely grossed me out and I will never ever go back to that store.
I wish I were more confrontational because I should have absolutely let her have it, and made sure that everyone else in the store who walked in after me knew about it.

mustard on my sandwich/allergic
I was at the tim hortons in sutton around 1045pm sunday june 7/09, and ordered a coffee and a turkey club with mayonaise, salt and pepper... I did not get mayonaise, instead I got honey mustard and I am allergic to mustard... I barely ate half of the sandwich when I realized there was mustard on it... now I have broken out in hives... I am very upset over this and doubt I will ever go back to tim hortons again... I had to take the day off work due to this... I dont usually complain etc... but this is unacceptable ...

Disgusting garbage
I am disgusted by the state of the parking lot and surrounding areas at the Tantallon Tim Hortons. Here is no reason for this other then the fact that the owners are only out to make a buck, and take no pride in there business or he community that supports them.

refused to enforce support laws
Rollin Carpenter the third worked there. He paid 2 months then he and his company decided to report (incorrectly) that he was no longer working there.
Rollin owes eight thousand dollars.
It is well known that he worked there for at least six months after they stopped taking the support payments out.
It was reported a couple of times but nothing is
being done.
