We visited Knysna and was quite impressed when we visited Timber Village. Eventually we bought some furniture. Up to this point all went well.
There was a delay in delivering the furniture but that was still acceptable. But the trouble started when the actual delivery had to be made. An agreement was reached about delivering the furniture. We cut our holiday short but the deliveryman did not pitch up. Eventually he came early the next day.
We then noticed the yellowwood table's leg was damaged and it also had scratches on the surface. The table was duly returned to be fixed. Timber Village did not really went out of their way to get this accomplished but eventually it was done.
Then we noticed that the glass in the corner cabinets' doors cracked. We were left with the impression that the Timber Village allowed the wood to dry completely. Also, when one of our guests leaned back against one of the yellowwood S-back chairs, there was an audible crack. I noticed that there was a problem with the joint on the chair. I once more contacted Timber Village.
When the furniture cane back, it was really worse than before - absoluely amateurish work. I can't recommend them anymore.
