Stay away
Omg how do people deal with this cable company I spend hours when I first was forced to get time warner cable after five days of frustration I finally get service. Now for the past five months the downstairs cable doesnt work wow get someone out whew hew then low and behold the upstairs cable goes out wonder why maybe he will get to comeback and get paid again. Oh and now they send me a bill for $168.00 seriously you think I am gonna pay that much for just cable and internet NOT. Uver her I come. ugg

overcharging
Time Warner is the biggest bunch of LIARS I have ever dealt with in a company. They tell you one thing and mean something else. They tell you what a charge is gonna be for something and then when you get your bill it's triple what they said it was gonna be. They make you all these offers at discounted prices, but it's never what they say. I am so sick of being raped by these multi-billion dollar companys!!! The goverment and the Attorney General needs to investigate these companies and put regulations on them.

Digital Cable Boxes being forced on you
I have hated Digital Cable boxes. The only way to get the cable at a somewhat decent price is to take the cable box that they pretty much shove down your throught!
I have decided many times that I am fully satisfied with 2 thru 99 for my channels. But if I do not take their stupid box and get their 1000 or so channels, I WILL HAVE TO PAY ABOUT $20.00 EXTRA!!
These stupid boxes make the TVshows freeze, and never work right for on demand, no matter how many different boxes I have tried, and no matter howmany techs I have had come out to my house; that being the house I live in now and the one I lived in in the past.
The last conversation I just had with their customer service guy was bad. He made me feel like I must be doing something wrong. Asked me if I ever turn off the boxes so they can refresh--I do that every night. He spoke with me like he was a member of a collection agency and I was oweing him money. That is how he made me feel. I am current with my $115.00 monthly bill.
BOTTOM LINE: My big concern is WHY do they charge you more for less? Since I don't want the box and I am happy to live with less channels, they would charge me $20.00 more! WHY? They must have some stake in practically forceing you to keep that box on your set. What is that stake? Do Alex Jones conspiracy theories really apply? I mean I have heard things about Time Warner of a conspiracy type nature that I usually always take with a grain of salt. But due to the forcefullness in them trying to make me have a box and how they deal with me every time I said I don't want it, really makes me wonder!
I told the customer service rep I am taking the box off of my TV and placeing it in my closet due to the fact that if I return it to them...THEY WILL CHARGE ME $20.00 MORE FOR GETTING LESS! I'll keep the box in my closet! Wake up and Beat the system!!

Support Squad Scam
A Time Warner Cable representative charged me for Support Squad and said she could not refund the charge even though I did not ask for it. A month later and four phone calls back to Time Warner, they do not know anything about this company or why I am charged. This is a scam. Time Warner sales reps do not need your debit card info to initiate an account.

Bait and Switch
WhenI placed my cable subscription order, I also ordered Russian language premium channels. I was told by the sales representative that they have an "International" package that includes all their foreign language channels, including the Russian channels, for $14.95 per month. She went on to explain each channel (Arabic, Portuguese, etc.) I told her that I was only interested in the Russian channels, but she said that they did not have just a Russian package. She told me that the International package included 6 Russian channels and went on to explain each one that I would receive. I agreed to the entire package. Once my cable service was installed, I discovered that I did not have an entire package of International channels, but just one Russian channel. When I called Time Warner to ask about this, and to receive the rest of the Russian channels, I was told that I could have all the Russian channels, not for $14.95, but for $34.95. When I explained that this is not what I was sold by their representative, I was told that this was the price or I could just have no Russian channels. I feel that I have been the victim of a bait and switch of their services.

Customer Service
Highly unprofessional. No technician has showed to my appointments. I end up waiting over the time period. Do they really expect their customers to wait longer than the 3 hour appointment time? I end up having to reschedule and just WAIT.

i have had time warner cable for years and I am fed up with their overcharging and getting away with it. It seems that every couple of months the prices for their half -assed service goes up. I think it is such a shame that these cable companies have all of the control in our ability to have television, which is why they have the ability to rob us every chance they get. And I too have experienced their double billing crap and their explanation for it was all double-talk

Site is not safe
I put in my online i.d. and password to access my acct. But low and behold I was in another subscriber's acct. I'm in Queens, NY and they are in Columbus, Ohio needless to say I had access to info. that should not be available.I have contacted both time warner and subscriber about this matter.

unjust billing
I moved to new orleans on 0ctober 1 2010. I called to suspend the services for 6 months .They ok'd it. The following month I received another bill for $360 .They said the service is suspended because of non payment and they know nothing of the seasonal request of suspending services for six months.
after an intensive debate of arguments i grudgingly I accepted to make a payment of $248. in return of $10 a month charge for suspended services. I again received another bill for $313.
This people are liars and modern day legal robbers.they should be put out of business

Horrible Customer Service and Outage
My Christmas gift from Time Warner this year - NO CABLE. I was without service from December 23rd until December 26th. During this time and several conversations with supervisors, I was told different stories: Someone cut the cables; ConEd cut th cables; no one cut the cable, but there are too many people hooked to the box and we (Time Warner cable) need to slice the wires and fix it; and so on. Speaking with one representative, he said the outage can last up to 10 days!! I pay too much money each month to have shotty service. Time Warner said it would credit me for the time I lost - but I will have to call back and Request it. UMMM...thanks! So now I have the honor of fighting with one of your reps again and making sure I and credited correcly - time to break out the calculator...
