Terribly inefficient service
I've had TimeWarner for 2 months, and I have only had problems with them. Very bad quality of service, no one seems to have a clue about technical stuff. I have had 3 major technical failures since I started with them, 1 of them I had to solve myself. The problem is that I have no choice of provider in my area, so I am considering quitting TV altogether and move to Netflix and books.

no refund
Purchased a time warner roadrunner high speed internet online from this company, I cancelled the order and was told i will recieve a refund of 99.90. So far I have gotten a runaround with dozens of phone numbers to call but they all say they have no record of my payment, yet my bank statement shows it was withdrawn. A 1800 252-2156 shows on the statement along with the withdrawl but its all automated and no help was available.

Hidden charges on their "One rate" International plan
Time Warner digital phone offers a new "One rate" plan for international calls- $19.99 a month for 1000 minutes- sounds great, right? BUT for calls to cell phones, the rate is 27 cents a minutes. But here is the real kicker- if you use that phone line to access a calling card to call a cell phone at a decent rate, Time Warner somehow "taps into" that call, even though you are calling a local number to get access to that calling card system AND THEY CHARGE YOU FOR THAT CALL AT THEIR PRICE!! THAT MEANS YOU ARE CHARGED TWICE- BY THE CALLING CARD COMPANY AS WELL AT THE TIME WARNER RATE OF 27 CENTS A MINUTE! They justify this by saying "You agreed we were your long distance carrier" and they ignore the fact you called a local access number to get out of their dsystem into another system. Anyone who has been scammed by this practice should contact the National Consumer League and info them about your experience. DO NOT USE TIME WARNER TO ACCESS CALLING CARDS!!

Bad service
How come is it when you buy the premium and On Demand selection, when it always says " IS CURRENTLY UNAVAILABLE AT THIS TIME!" then have to wait 2 minutes on a black screen, just to get back to the main station. But wait! it puts you on a different station, and you cannot recall your last channel. Oh speaking of using the remote. It would of been better if i bought a $3.99 remote instead of using this P.O.S. and since you sign up at a special promo to get a DVD-R upgrade to the main box. Well where is it then? I care that i have basic cable to watch. NOT HAVE THREE OF THE SAME IN "High Definition"!

Internet Outages
I depend on my internet service for a small home based business. As we are all aware, every dollar adds up these days! The service has been off and on for the last 4 days. Sometimes for half an hour, sometimes for much longer. My customers are upset (not with me particularly), but with the situation. I get an email for an order and try to reply only to find the service down - again. My family depends on this extra source of income and I hate to possibly lose good customers.
I am thinking of going to Verizon Fios, however the thought of changing emails for the bank and many other places seem daunting. TW did give me a credit for 8 days, however FIOS is cheaper anyway. The customer service is usually horrendous - many times asking me to contact Apple as I have an iMac. The vast majority of problems are the fault of TW, not Apple. I'm thoroughly disgusted and WILL switch if necessary. My husband will just have to get used to a new channel lineup for the TV, lol.
I'm in Southern California - today TW blamed the *server* problems on the California fires which were quite awhile ago. Obviously just an excuse. Argh!

Cable Service
I called at some time in August to order basic cable service. the technician came to my home to connect service a few days later. Two weeks after my cable was turned on I received a letter stating I owed money for a bill that was 5 years old. I had forgotten about the service I had in the past (which was Adelphia at that time). Time Warner wanted me take care of this immediately. The amount was $400 or they would disconnect my services. I have since been trying to work out a payment plan with them but they will not except. I have called to talk to the supervisor, that has also failed. My next step is the local news channels. I really love Time Warner, but I can't come up with that money all of sudden. I would love to keep the services I already have. I pay my bill on time.

employment opportunities
I was online trying to send my resume and cover letter for a marketing/sales manager position with Time Warner. Their website would not let me apply for this position. I kept logging off and on to try and resend and I kept getting an error reading.
So then I called the number and the job line lets you leave your name, number and what position you are interested in...well that mailbox was full.
So I left a message for the HR manager to see if she could help. I recieved a call back. The call was useless. I recieve NO help. They said that I had to keep applying online. HOW can you apply for something when the system will not accept it?
I asked the lady if their marketing department head would appreciate missing out on my resume, and possibly settling for someone less experienced/qualified without my presigous background? She seemed to not care and said that there was probably something wrong with my computer.
I do not believe it gets worse than this folks. She said they have so many resume's that it didn't matter.
So Time Warner posts jobs available and do not care about people that take an hour out of their day to fill everything out, design their resume and cover letter too apply for a job that will help their growth and revenue??? very sad that this company is in my hometown and hope that others have a better experience in their job search. Times are tough enough out there without having to waste precious moments of our lives. I could have applied at 10 other business's by the time this was over.
Nice HR department Time Warner- thanks for the equal opportunity!

Bad service
My company makes its living designing and selling websites. This morning, without warning, both our phone and Internet connections went down. We have been without any connections for over four hours, unable to do any business at all. Talk about Time Wasters! More like money wasters!

Customer Service/ Billing Issues/ Lack Of trust/ Time Effectivness!!!
Time Warner:
Has the worst customer service that I have ever experiecned in my whole life. I have never been told so many things by so many many people from one company in my life. I will never refer anyone to and I pray that I will never have to use them again in my whole life.
My issues are billing, time Effectiveness, lies, contractual issues, lack of concern: and Customer service and the need for it is so far from this company until it is not funny!!! They care nothing about providing customer service and following with it. !!!
If you call one of there contract persons and or company like Brigevine and then call TimeWarner you will still get the wrong info. I mean it is shameful and you will get nowhere and no one will be able to help you.
I will never use them again!!!
