I bought 2 chihuahuas from Kirk Newton at Tinytowntexas in March 2007. My male dog died November 2, 2009, 10 days shy of his 2nd birthday, from Cardio Pulomary Stenosis. I found him in my bed, snuggled up under the covers, dead. He was being treated for a thyroid condition and had no symptoms of a heart problem. He also had patella luxation which would have been corrected by surgery, had he lived.

My female, his sister, also has patella luxation and will have surgery this January. She also has a deformed trachea and coughs when excited.

Judging by the genetic disorders and the emotional temperament of my female, it is VERY OBVIOUS that both of my dogs were born in a PUPPY MILL.

Kirk AWAYS has more that 15 puppies for sale at any given time. He also sells to internet puppy brokers. How can a reputable breeder care for so many puppies at one time? I e-mailed Kirk about the trick knee in both of my dogs and he offered me 2 more puppies in addition to my existing two. That was it!! He also admitted that others pups from Abilgail had knee problems. When I asked him why he wasn't proactive about contacting those puppy owners he said that he would retire Abigail. She is still on his website as a breeding female. He has also removed his telephone number from his website.

I know that I am not the only one out there with a walking genetic disaster of a dog from KIRK NEWTON. Please, if you have one of Kirk's ill dogs join this group on facebook. He needs to be shut down!
