I recently had an opportunity to deal with one of the principals of www. tipthebox.com, regarding a purchase on my web site.
Due to a clerical error, their package was delayed.
There was a further misunderstanding on which address which would be used for delivery.
The initial email I received about this problem basically stated I probably made no money because I ran my business from my basement.
I will admit, my repsonse was not kind.
However, I immediately refunded them for their purchase.
After the refund, I received several MORE emails from this firm berating me and trying to convince me I was in the wrong on an already resolved issue.
They created huge write ups on what a joke my company was, posting follow up comments to themselves.
Now this is over a 14.98 transaction. Would you think after the refund we were done?
This is not the type of firm I would want handling my on-line campaign, if they have this little judgement and restraint.
Additionally, I was not impressed with their spindly page ranking of 3 (three) on their home page.
This is a company that SPECIALIZES in web marketing and they can't get their OWN page ranking above 3.
Sad.
My own web sites have a page ranking of 4 and no service has been engaged to "help me". Guess my page ranking would be a 3 if I did.
We'll use them if you want, but based on my exposure I wouldn't trust them with my business.
