Service
I brought my girlfriends van to these butchers at Tire Kingdumb for the crankshaft pulley being loose. The manager stated that it would be such an easy repair. They first checked it out and we drove home that night. The next day, the manager asked if there was a clunking sound like they sabotaged the vehicle or he has ESP. I stated that we have a long trip and he assured us that it would be done quickly. Four days and $565 later we picked up the van to find out that the check engine light, trac control light, and the VSC lights were all on. Also, there was a clunk sound. I brought the van back and they looked at it and said it was a sensor for another $90. Since that did not fix the damage they caused it turned out to be free of charge; how nice. They then put it back on the lift and began hammering a pry bar several times in the area of the serpentine belts before 2 mechanics and a manager were cluelessly staring at the engine like it was an engine from another planet. The manager stated that they had no clue to what it is but the master genius, I mean mechanic, said that it would be OK to drive out of the state in its condition. I drove the van home and noticed that the timing belt cover and inner passenger wheel well covers were both missing. We left for our trip and quickly realized the cruise control did not work either for our 800 mi. trip. When we left from Kentucky, I started noticing timing issues and the van would not go past 20 mph for the first few minutes of driving the engine cold. I then called corporate who then called the regional manager who said that everything will be taken care of when we get back. I brought the van back to have the manager argue with me about how it is our fault that they screwed up the van. He said that he was calling corporate on me and went into the back room. He then came out so I can explain my story again. He said everything would be taken care of and offered me a $100 max reimbursement on a rental vehicle. The rental vehicle was $225 so no deal there. I then received a call from the store manager who had been on vacation and decided to trump everything the regional manager said by demanding more money and blaming the damages on us. I then called corporate everyday for the next 4 days until they transferred me back to a different regional manager who then decided the van damages were our fault but they would be nice enough to pay for half of the labor for a timing belt replacement. I found this unacceptable and finally corporate promised that the regional VP would give me a call. Let me tell you, he has some wonderful customer service skills. I think he may have learned them from the store managers in the Hudson store. Anyway, his ultimatum was take it or leave it 50% off of labor. After the van was here over 2 weeks minus the 3 days for the trip and another $245, the van was ready for pickup. My girlfriend and her mother picked up the van to find out that a half of a mile down the road, all the dash lights reappeared. She took the van back and they explained that it may be a break problem or a cat converter problem. Needless to say the van will not be going back and neither should anyone else. These butchers will rob you blind and treat you like dirt while blaming their amateur mistakes on you.

lies and no qualified persons to do work
Took my Nissan Xterra in for 2 tires, knew the price I was going to pay, for as I ahd just recently purchased the same 2 tires a month before. Instructed the individual who took the order to place the new tire on the front of the vehicle and to put the spare tire back where it was supposed to go. NO new tire on spare, just put spare back where it was, it is a spare tire, after about 20 minutes of him looking very confused, I finally went out and showed him, and the light came on. In the process of all of this, the manager said you are going to need an alignment for this, I asked how much for a 4 wheel, and he said 80, I told him that was not in the budget, so he said I will give you one at half price, 40, so I said on, it comes with a 6 month warranty and x amount of miles. OK not a problem was with in budget. Told me the truck would be ready around 3:30, it was 9am when I dropped it off. 1hour later, they call me and tell me that my shocks are leaking oil and that I need all new shock, I asked how much for the 4, and a price of almost 700 was quoted, and I asked total for the tires and shock, oh no just the shocks. So after 15 minutes of him, being the store manager trying to strike a deal with me on shocks I said no, and then he tried to paint a very grim picture of what my tires would be like in 3 months if I did not replace the shocks. Soon after the truck was ready. I went there to pick it up, and the price i was quoted all the sudden had a extra 100 put onto it. I said whoo hoo back the F up, no way, then he fumbled around and said it was a mistake and gave me the correct total. Gave me all the required paper work, except for the print out for the alignment that they were supposed to preform, and miraculous his excuse was the printer was outa paper, go figure. Paid the bill, and left straight up the road to the ASE certified mechanics shop, and had them look and see if the shocks need replacing. Oh gee no they did not, and wait even better, my truck was pulling to the right, because they only took my 40 and did not preform the alignment, gee that is a shocker. SO I went the next day to a different store, in Concord, just up the road, to have them preform the alignment, and oh wait, he said the same thing, no paper in the printer, geee how convent, and oh wait they did not want to honer the warranty and charge me extra to have it preformed, labor, I said no way no how, it is under warranty, BS. So a call was place to corporate, and a scathing e-mail was sent, and I have contacted the local BBB and filed a complaint. The day after all of this crap, a customer service agent from TK called and wanted to know how my TK experience was, and I laid it out for her, it was crap and I will never go back, only thing they are good for is tires and that is it. As of today July 5th, I received and coupon for 100 off and set of 4 tires, yea right, trashed it. Do not ever do business with these people, they can only do tires, and esp do ont let them preform any service on your vehicle, because they can not, nor do they know how.

Kingdom of liars
Tire Kingdom, 2750 Southwest College Road, Ocala(352) 237-7900. 1st they said my $9.99 coupon expired the day b4, but I didn't see an expiration date. I paid about $23 for the oil change with a tire rotation, but they lied and didn't rotate the tires, after I asked them if they did the rotation. I came back inside and they quickly said we didn't rotate the tires because the tread lines were showing and state law says they can't rotate the tires. Why did they lie to begin with? How do I even know if they really changed the oil.

Bad Alignment Customer Service Experience
My recent experience with Tire Kingdom store #209 in Charlotte, NC was very negative. I took my car in for an alignment and had to explain the problem (it's been pulling to the right) three times before he understood it correctly. After this experience, I was uncertain about the level of service I would recieve and apparently I was right to be concerned. It took over three and a half hours before I got a call back about my car and when I picked it up it was clear that it had not be aligned properly, if at all, as the problem was just as bad as it was when I brought it in. I called back and spoke to the manager who advised me to return to the store at 9:00AM when he would be make sure that it was corrected. I noticed later that evening that one of my tires looked low and when I checked the pressure discovered that they had not filled the tires to the same air pressure in the front when they did the alignment. I arrived a few minutes early the next morning and was told that the manager had decided not to come in until 10:00AM that day. I left the car with detailed information about the problem and the employee who took the ticket told me that the alignment specialist had not done to alignment the previous day but that it was performed by a less qualified staff member. He assured me that it would be looked at right away and would be ready by the afternoon. Several hours later, they called to tell me that the left axle was bent and that this had been the cause of the problem all along. When I asked how the employee who had aligned my car the previous day had not noticed it, the manager became very dismissive and told me that all of the staff were qualified to do alingments. Disappointed with the service I had recieved, I chose to pick up my car and take it to a family friend instead. However, once I got to the store, the manager did not seem interested in hearing my concerns and told me that the employee who had done the alignment was not able to diagnose problems with the vehicle. I was very disappointed with the service I recieved at Tire Kindgom and was not offered a refund or any explanation of the problems. I will be taking my car to a different mechanic and will not use Tire Kingdom in the future!

Bad service
I had my girlfriend take my Xterra to Tire Kingdom for their anniversary special of oil change and tire rotation for $9.99. After being there for 2 hours with an appointment, she was told that the tech was having issues getting the kickplate off and that's why she was waiting so long.
When I got home and looked over the reciept, it said that the oil was changed and the tires were rotated. I went outside and looked and realized that tires weren't even touched. So, this morning she took it back and when they were done rotating them and checking the pressure, she found that a lug nut was missing off of both of the front tires and the air pressure was a variety of numbers from 30-40.
I will never take another vehicle to Tire Kingdom even if the service is free. Do not trust them with your car!

Rudeness of manager
I must tell you that yesterday I encountered the rudest store manager of ANY retail establishment in my life. Mike Morano at Tire Kingdom store #654 unleashed the most vulgar, profane ridden tirade I have ever heard in my life. I cannot believe a man with that demeanor is tolerated by Tire Kingdom. Or that Tire Kingdom would want him in uniform representing their company. It is my understanding that he has a history or treating the store employees with no respect and has, on occasion, even conveyed threats. He is a lawsuit waiting to happen. If you are in Charlotte and want to deal with Tire Kingdom, I sincerely urge you to avoid the South Blvd store. I have dealt with Store #210 on S. Tryon near I-485 and found their manager and employees to be friendly and courteous.

Stole sunglasses
Friday I arrived at tire kingdom 6500 sw.117 ave. I took off my sunglasses and put them back in their case. Went ahead and had 4 new tires installed. When they finish the job was already getting dark therefore I didn't need my glasses. Saturday I didn't leave my house. Today sunday when I got in my car the sunglasses were missing but the case was there. Apparently someone took the glasses but left the case behind. What are the chances that someone would break in the car go thru the compartments take the glasses and leave the case behind? By the way there was no sign of a break in. The glasses were armani $150.

Cracked windshield
I had a new tire put on at Tire Kingdom in Fort Lauderdale on Powerline
When I got home I noticed that I had two cracks in my front windshield.
Apparently when jacking up the car they must of allowed the dual jacks to cause stress on the windshield to cause the damage. I got no satisfaction
from the man at the desk. He was dumbfounded that this could happen. I received not satisfaction for this blunde. At least if he acknowledged that this could happen I wouldn't have been so angry. I think Tire Kingdom
owes me an apology for this error.

Rebate scam
I bought 4 Michelin tires on 3/5 @ tire kingdom Land O Lakes 2127 brinson road Lutz Florida, 33558 the salesman Ray Ambler informed me there was a mail in rebate on line for $100. I was told all I needed was the purchase receipt and go on line. After the purchase and going on line to Michelins home page and after a call to customer service I was informed the rebate doesn't start till 3/10. This is false advertisement and fraud I would bet they hold onto the sales receipt and enter it into the system after the rebate starts and pocket the rebate money. Pissed Off

Blew up my engine
On Jan. 21, 2010 my husband brought my car to tire kingdom on Highway 27 to change the thermostat. Due to were it was located on the engine he was unable to get to it and we had to have a mechanic do it. He picked up the car later in the day and started to drive. H e got approx. 2 miles and the car started overheating and smoking. He pulled over to let it cool and then started to check all the fluids. To hes surprise TK never put coolant, water, or any kind of fluid back in the engine. No fluid means blown head gaskets. For a week and a half we tried to contact the manager(Mark Tracey) and he happened to be on vacation. 2 weeks later still no manager and no return call we decided to contact the corp. office. We placed more then a dozen phone calls to corp... we finally got a call back over a month later. Tk said they would help us fix the problem and to discuss what they needed to due and give them a call back the next day. The next day when we called they said we needed to buy a new engine and they would give us a discount putting it in. We explained the situation again and tried to explain we wouldnt need a new engine if they would have put fluid in it... so why are we resposible? Corp office told us they were investigating what happened and would get back to us. That was over two weeks ago. We have called numerous times and still no call and no engine. We had to go buy a new car so I could get to and from work. In all honesty TK is the worst car repair place and the best place to give you the complete runaround.
