I used this company from late 2003 for my phone calls and internet provider.
I was on dial up pay as you go (daytime plus) which requires you to have a
BT phone line. I had so much trouble with this company i.e.days of not
being able to access the internet in the times I was paying for 8am to 6pm 7
days a week and being cut off when I was in the middle of doing something on
the computer. When I sent Tiscali an e-mail complaining about these things
they would send me an e-mail "in their own time" blaming something or
someone i.e. "the settings on your computer" or the "BT phone line". On the
26th January 2008 I changed to another provider for my phone and internet
broadband which is now installed under-ground on cable. I do not now have a
BT phone line. I went through all the proper channels cancelling with
Tiscali and BT. I had no problem with BT cancelling the rental of the phone
line. BT sent me my final bill and said they were sorry to lose me as a
customer but not so with Tiscali. Since January they keep sending me a bill
every month and taking money off my credit card. To me this is fraud as I
don't have any account with them and they don't provide me with anything. I
have made phone calls to them on phone numbers in the UK and India costing
me pounds in phone calls and not getting any sense out of their advisors
what so ever.
I have sent numerous letters to Tiscali some being recorded delivery to four
different address of Tiscali asking them why they are still taking money off
my credit card when I am no longer a customer of theirs. I have had no
reply to any letter I have sent to them. I think this company are
fraudsters. I am now speaking to a solicitor and I urge anyone thinking of
using this company not to go any-where near them.
They must be the worst company in the country.
