This is a warning to all owners of Tissot Touch Wrist watches
I have a Tissot Touch wrist watch, which I love (or maybe used love), and which is perhaps 4 years old. It cost the better part of £500. It has had continuing synchronisation problems (analogue hand display to digital read out) and eventually the retailer who supplied it said it was more serious and had to go back to Tissot - Swatch. They quoted £100 plus to repair it.
I complained directly to Tissot - Swatch as the retailer told me they never responded to him. When I did complain, albeit late, Tissot - Swatch's response might be summed up as "tough" - we quoted a price and were told to proceed. What they have failed to do is explain:
1. How an expensive digital watch like this could go so spectacularly wrong
2. What was actually wrong with it
3. What they did to correct the fault(s)
4. Why it eventually cost £110 to get my watch back
If you have a similar problem make sure you get a detailed quote before proceeding as Tissot - Swatches customer service and attitude leave much to be desired. What is clear to me based on my experience is that Tissot’s claims of quality, workmanship and durability are a myth.
