I have a comp;aint against Title Max Title Loan Company, because they are making phone calls to me everyday from 7am until 7pm. They have called my contacts that I used on my application and have gone to my mother's home and left a letter for me for her to give to me concerning my account. I called them and told them that my income tax refund would be coming in on a card and that as of today the money was not yet loaded on my card. These people proceeded in calling me from my daughter's phone and I thought that the call was coming from her and it was from the lady at Title Max. I called my daughter and she told me that there was nobody with her when this call came in, because she was in the shower and had not called her. These people then made a phone call using my brother's cell phone number and when I answered the phone; it was Title Max calling me again using his cell phone. I called my mother and she called her local phone company who said that they were using a system called "SPOOFING WHERE THEY USE A REMOTE EXCESSING DEVICE AND IS SEEING WHO IS CALLING HER ON THE PHONE AND MAKING A CALL FROM THAT NUMBER FROM WHICH SHE JUST GOT OFF THE PHONE WITH." My mother was informed by the phone company that this is illegal and that we should contact the cell phone companies that we are using to keep this from happening and to change our phone numbers to our cell phones. Its not like I'm not going to pay the loan off; its just that I'm going to pay this loan off and am waiting to get my refund so that I can pay these people off. It has made problems for me and my family members because these people are calling them all hours, showing up at their houses and making threats to my family members and I've made calls to the company and they do not want to work with you concerning this matter. Hopefully someone can do something about all of this, because this is no way for a company to do business.
