Scam
I booked a reservation online at thevacationshop.com for a 4-night stay at the Liki Tiki Village Resort in Orlando, Florida. The booking person was able to book me at a 1-bedroom condo, he took my name, phone number and credit card details and passed me on to his verification officer. this vacation is supposedly cheap because it included a tour to preview the property for timeshare sales purposes. as a timeshare owner myself, i understood this. my credit card was then charged for $220.96 for the 5 days and 4 nights stay. this booking was done on March 17, 2010 and the vacation was scheduled for April 6, 2010. i made sure to book in advance since this was the spring break and it would be a very busy season. on April 2, I got a call from Crystal, one of their guest services representative, informing me that they have been trying to call me repeatedly because they were not able to get me my booking. i did not get any call from them and my card was already charged. they said they would refund my money or try to get me booked somewhere else. they said they would call me back to let me know if they could get me in another resort. nobody called. they knew on March 18 that i could not be booked in Liki Tiki, but it's already April 11 now and they still haven't refunded my money. i called several times to ask for my money back and everytime, they tell me that i would be refunded the full amount and it would be refunded in the credit card i used. first of, was there a chance of me not getting the full refund when it was their fault that they were such incompetent idiots??? second, it's been 3 wks and my money has not been refunded yet!! i called Liki Tiki Resort and they said they never heard of TNT because they have a lot of outside companies booking for them. well i guess they should look into this, because this company is scamming their potential clients!!!
