I recently began examining in detail my cellphone bill. I found that for months I have been charged $9.99 a month in additional charges of which I had no idea what they were for. Last month as I dug deep into the bill online, I saw "Premium/Text Messaging" charges for 9.99. I called my service provider, Verizon. They looked into their records and ALL they could tell me was that it was this "TooLazy" service charging me and they could not stop it. I had to text 47941 and type "STOP" to stop it OR call 800-510-1468. When I texted, I got a message that premium messaging was blocked.
The next month I received the same charge. I called Verizon again. I got the same information. I once again texted 47941. I received the same message-now uncertain what that message meant, I went to their website "nomoretexting.com". I put my phone number in and it said I am now unsubscribed. I will see enxt month, I guess, because nowhere in this madness can you speak to a human being. If you email "[email protected]", you get an automated response to do the things you already did.
I know many people out there have had this rip off and I want to see what we can do together to make a stand against them. Any ideas? So far I have lost $50.00. It isn't the amount, it's the principle!
