Burglary/ Labtop
On 11-16-2010 I was burglarized at my home a Toshiba labtop use stolen. I contacted msn thay advised me that it was being used, becuse my pass word was saved upon powering on. I need your help in asisting our local police dept. in aprehending the theives. Thank you

Does not take care of it's customers
I bought a Toshiba laptop 2 months ago and it has broken 3 times. The second time it broke they told me they would replace it. They lied. I have to send it in again for the 3rd time in 2 months and they will try to repair it. I will never buy a Toshiba laptop again, and recommend you don't either.

Defective toshiba portege R700 laptop but no refund
i purchased toshiba portege r700, and when i broguht it home, i found it to be defective. i sent it back to dealer, who for a month, kept on saying, it is under repair at service station.
first they changed fan, then os was reloaded, then disk was changed. i asked them to give in writing, what parts have been chnaged. they say, they can not give it in writing.
they refuse to give refund, and also another replacement. on the contrary sales executivecalled me and started abusing me. as a result, they have cheated me 60, 000 RS

customer service
I have Toshiba laptop 1 year 4 months old. I have had the same re-occuring problem concerning online accessability. Every few months I hae to call to get this resolved thru there "customer service" center via phone. They now want me to pay $35 cause my 1 year warranty has expired, for there "assistance". They won't guarantee for the $35 they will sucessfully be able to help you. I spent $700 on this from Costco, & I promise that I will never purchase another Toshiba product as long as I am on this earth. I can see if years perhaps had gone by, in this economy they should be willing to help me with the basics of there notebook. I should have bought a Sony product, I had in the past & regret I went to Toshiba. If you take anything from this...I am an ordinary guy without much computer experience, do not waste your money on any Toshiba product because they simply will not stand behind their stuff. Worst customer service ever
Despite having purchased a 4-year in-home warranty, Toshiba has the worst customer service I have ever encountered. Each time I call, I am on hold for 20 minutes, then transferred numerous times, until I finally get to even tell someone that I have the onsite warranty (and most of these phone techs cannot even speak English at an understandable level). Then I get transferred once more to a Level 2 technician. And then it takes about 7 days just to make an onsite appointment because there is only ONE onsite technician for several counties in New York, which equals the size of some states!! UNBELIEVABLE!!! DO NOT buy a Toshiba laptop.

Automatic BIOS password on New Toshiba Laptop
Had a brand Toshiba A300-1BZ new laptop purchased in UK, brought it to Nigeria. It was never removed from package. Brought it out this month, set it up. After all the initial setup, I shut it down. On the next restart, it came up with a BIOS password.
The Toshiba representative continued to STATE that there is no known BIOS password issue with that model and that the laptop is out of warranty.
You know what I think? Avoid Toshiba laptops because no one knows which can come up with a BIOS password - even Toshiba themselves don't know.
Asking me for a $300+ motherboard replacement for a brand new laptop of 600 pounds sterling.

Satelite Laptop Computer
Do not buy a Satelite Laptop...Model # M645-S4045 Their warranty is horrible! I bought this Oct 24, and had problems from the get go. Called Toshiba, sent it to repair, got it back and now they are making me send it in again...haven't even been able to use it. Keep shutting off, screen keep going on and off, now they are making me send it in again!!! I have had it in my hands less than 30 days, very upset, will never ever buy another Toshiba product of any kind!!!

I upgraded to the A665 model and was returning it on 8/8/10 because the LCD went out. Against my better judgement, I listened to the store clerk who assured me it was a good computer, and exchanged it for another A665 model. Now on 9/29/10 that computer has crashed. I called Toshiba mad as *** requesting my money back and was told they have to deem it unrepairable before my 700.00 will be refunded. I use my laptop for work and am furious. I will never, ever purchase another Toshiba! It is a piece of crap!!! Don't waste your money!

ABOUT AN HOUR. THIS IS A PIECE OF JUNK. TALK TO TOSHIBA CUSTOMER SERVICES THEY STATED THAT THIER WAS NOTHING THEY CAN DO.
I WILL NEVER IN MY LIFE BUY TOSHIBA PRODUCT AGAIN.
GUESS I SHOULD HAVE STUCK WITH AMERICAN MADE PRODUCT.
