DEFECTED LAPTOP
I BOUGHT MY LAPTOP 1 YR AGO AND IT'S GONE BAD ALREADY. ALL OF A SUDDEN THE BATTERY WOULDN'T CHARGE THEN THE AC ADAPTOR WENT. BOUGHT ANOTHER ADAPTOR AND IT DIDN'T HELP. ALL I GET IS A BLINKING BLUE INDICATOR, LETTING ME KNOW THAT I HAVE JUST PLUGGED IN THE ADAPTOR. I JUST WANT EVERYONE TO KNOW THAT THESE MACHINES CAN BE CONSIDER DISPOSABLE LAPTOPS. THEY ONLY LAST A YEAR. THEY STOP WORKING A LITTLE LATER THAN THE WARRANTY EXPIRES. CAUSE OF DEATH, POWER FAILURE. IF YOU READ THE COMPLAINTS FOR THESE LAPTOPS, I'M SURE YOU'LL FIND THAT A LOT OF PEOPLE HAD TO TRASH THEIR LAPTOPS PREMATURELY BECAUSE OF A POWER DEFECT. EXTENDED WARRANTIES SHOULDN'T BE THE MAIN ARTERY FOR USING YOUR PRODUCTS. THERE'S NO WAY A LAPTOP SHOULD GO BAD WITHIN A YEAR. IF THIS IS THE CASE THEN THERE SHOULD BE SOME KIND OF DISCLOSURE TELLING CONSUMERS THAT AN EXTENDED WARRANTY IS REQUIRED AT THE TIME OF PURCHASE. OR THERE SHOULD BE SOME KIND OF WARNING FOR THE CONSUMERS... "POWER FAILURE LIKELY AFTER A YEAR OF USE. WE STRONGLY URGE YOU TO PURCHASE AN EXTENDED WARRANTY". THEN AGAIN, THEY CAN'T DO THAT BECAUSE THEY WON'T BE ABLE TO SELL THESE DEFECTED LAPTOPS. I'M NOT THE ONLY ONE COMPLAINING. I HAVE READ QUITE A FEW COMPLAINTS AND I INTEND TO SEND A LETTER AND THOSE COMPLAINTS TO THE "CONSUMER AFFAIRS". WHY SHOULD I HAVE TO PAY FOR REPAIRS OR BUY ANOTHER LAPTOP BECAUSE THE FAIRLY NEW ONE I HAVE HAS GONE BAD AFTER A YEAR WITHOUT ANY WARNING AND RIGHT AFTER THE WARRANTY EXPIRED. I AM VERY UNHAPPY ABOUT THIS AND I HOPE NO ONE ASKS ME FOR SUGGESTIONS ON WHERE TO BUY A NICE COMPUTER OR LAPTOP. TOSHIBA PRODUCTS WILL NOT BE AT THE TOP OF MY LIST.

Warranty Problems
Toshiba makes you jump through 20 different hoops before they warranty their crap products. Then they try to find any lame loophole to screw you. Do Not buy any products from Toshiba, because if you have a problem your more than likely screwed. Give your money to a company that understands customer service.

Overcharged
I purchased a Toshiba 52inch DLP HDTV in in feb, 2006 and in less than 2 years of owning it, I have had to have the light bulb in it replaced 3 times. These bulbs are $219.00 each., now the TV needs a new light engine repair and the cost is $671.00. All of this in less than 2 years for a $2000.00 TV. To put it in perspective if this was a $30, 000.00 car, In less than 2 years of use it would need $19, 000.00 in repair cost, as my TV was $2000.00 and so far has needed over $1200.00 in repair.

Toshiba understands this is not acceptable, but offers no help what so ever. Now I have found out that this is very common in this Toshiba product model#52HM95. Please help me in finding a solution in getting this TV replaced/repaired or my money refunded. Or if there is way I can file suit or complaint against the company.

Complain Toshiba Vietnam Services and Products
I bought a Toshiba refrigerator but it not working well, it leak, and I called the toshiba vietnam, they bring back and fix it, they add some thing to make it hotter, and I didn't agree because it spent more electricity, so I refuse to get it and add them ti fix their proplem, dont let consumer bear it. but they don't agree. I cannot understand that one global company like Toshiba can sell a wrong products and ask client bearing.

customer service
Countless times we've had chargers for a toshiba laptops die on us and there is no reason for them dying. So we call the company and they say its our fault that the chargers are getting broken when we know for a fact that it is not our fault. They were very unprofessional in helping us. The people who were very unhelpful were Jewel and Claudia, we asked them if we could talk to there manager and they told us that they did not have a manager. So then we asked them for a mailing address so we could write a complaint to the company and they said that they didn't have an address. So we insisted that they let us talk to there supervisor and they said they still didn't have one and we said so your the president of toshiba and that only made them even more unprofessional. We are very displeased with this company and there tech. support even if you can call them that because they did nothing to help us.

Never again
We bought a Toshiba 37" full HD tv last year and loved it. One year plus 1 month later, the panel went out and Toshiba is refusing to compensate us. This tv cost us $1200 and it only lasted a year. Repair costs will be approximately the same as the cost of a new tv. I will never buy Toshiba again.

Awful, awful, awful
My Qosmio G15 notebook is less than four years old, & the hard drive has failed. Toshiba won't even acknowledge responsibility. All I get from every service rep is "it's out of warranty". I don't feel it's acceptable for a $3, 000 computer to fail after three and a half years, but Toshiba seems to not care ~ they keep trying to convince me it's normal, & I'm lucky it lasted this long. I warn everyone to stay away from this company ~ they are awful to deal with!

Terrible service
Bought a lcd hdtv model 27HL85. After only 3 yrs the lcd panel went out(diagnosed by authorized repairman). Replacement panel price was quoted as $1807.00 parts and labor included which was $400.00 more than we paid for the TV new. Contacted Toshiba and was told they were SORRY!

hdd out 2 times 3 months
i bought a toshiba satellite L355d s7901 at best buy in lake jackson texas, 15 days after i got it the hdd went out. they refused to take it back because the return policy is 14 days. i called toshiba and was given a number and had to drive 35 miles to the repair center. im disabled i cant walk so its hard for me to get out. now almost 4 months later the same thing happened hdd is out again. since day 1 i have gotten freezes, error messages telling me i have a disk error, i start up and it tells me thers no boot device and windows exploer is not responding.Now they want me to return it and wait up to 6 weeks to get it fixed. thats pure bull shit! This computer i saved up 2 years to get and i expectd it to last more than 4 damn months. It has been down and in the repair shop more than i have been on it. Best buy is a rip off that sells computer that only last until 1 day after the return policy. Toshiba is the worst company ever, the thec support couldnt tell me what to do. I am so sick of this computer and toshiba. I will never buy anything at best buy again or buy another shityy toshiba product.
