I don't know where to begin with this company. We saw an ad in "The Knot" magazine that touted this company as one of the best for its photography services. So we decided to give them a call and arrange a meeting with the salesman in our area. They offer at home consultations, which we thought was a great benefit. Oh man we're we wrong. This guy showed up and said all the right things, showed a bunch of fancy pictures and we signed on the dotted line. But not after a little bit of haggling for a better package. So the guy leaves and then calls us the next day and says he needs our CC info because he lost it. We arrange to meet him at HIS house that weekend and when we call he's hanging out at his neighborhood pool. Tells us don't worry about it and just call the office to arrange the payment, such professionalism (being extremely sarcastic). Time goes by and the communication with this company is lousy. We had to call them about setting up a telephone conversation with our actual photographer for the big day, should've been the other way around. And mind you we weren't being pushy, it was about 2 weeks before the wedding and we had no idea who was actually doing the picture taking. Anyways, the guy shows up and does the wedding for 4 hours. I have no experience in the field of photography but I'm betting I could've taken these pictures after a 30 minute crash course. They sucked! My brother in law took the same exact pics and he has no training or education in photography either. Things get worse, way worse. We arrange a meeting with Total Focus to drive down to Fort Lauderdale and look at our pictures in person. The office is a small, 4 room establishment with filthy carpets and walls, 20 year old pictures on the wall with the cheapest looking frames. There is no secretary that greets you, she's hiding behind a tinted window and you have to push a button to get a hold of her. If we'd seen this place in the beginning I assure you, we'd never have done business with this company. You have to see it in person to know that I'm not being superficial, its just that bad. Anyways, we meet with this gentleman to pick out the pictures and finalize everything. Ah man, this just turned into a last ditch effort by Total Focus to get more money out of us. The salesman was about as pushy as what you'd experience at a used car lot. It was a terrible experience. Finally we were able to convince him that we weren't spending any more money with this company. A couple months have gone by and we still haven't received our album. They sent me an email saying that we were behind on payments, I called them after reviewing my records and it was not us but them...they owed us $38 and were holding our stuff because of this. So I called the "secretary" and explained the situation and she said that she'd credit our account. Then she puts me on hold, I'm thinking great she's going to take care of this now and then ship my package. NOPE, she transfers to that scumbag of a salesman. I'm an extremely mild-mannered person and sometimes can be a push over. But there comes a point when I just give up trying to be nice and friendly. He acts like he's "reviewing our account" for the mistakes but in actuality he was just trying to come up with a clever way of trying to offer me the negatives for a "steal". He makes his first attempt, I reply with I'm sorry but we're not going to be purchasing any more items right now. He makes attempt number two, I counter with if its over $10 there is no way we'll be buying this. He goes on and on, I must've told him 5 times that we don't want anything more but our pictures and the money that they owe us.
Its been over a week now and we've still not rec'd our pictures. I will be filing a complaint with the BBB if they are not rec'd in the next week.
I would strongly suggest not supporting this company and using someone else for your photography needs. Our wedding was absolutely wonderful and special. Its a shame that we've had to deal with this company.
