Touch of Sun Tanning Spa in Oak Lawn, IL gets a NO VOTE from me!
I have been tanning at another salon in the Oak Lawn area but saw an advertisement with a new customer special from a tanning salon that opened a few months ago, in November of 06.
My visit there was a disaster!

I forgot the postcard mailing piece that came to my apartment, so when I went in to the salon I tried to explain this to the attendant. She just looked at me and shook her head "No" Then her cell phone rang and she immediately turned away and answered it. It sounded like a girlfriend and they chatted for over five minutes and just left me, the customer, standing there.
Finally, she hung up, turned back to me and said, "OK, now what's your problem?"
I explained my request again only to again receive the young lady's blank stare. Finally, she said; she had to talk to the owner.
She phoned the owner and explained the situation to the owner in terms that made me sound like some sort of a con-artist. "This lady is trying to tell me she's got some special offer that she wants to cash in on" The offer was a small discount on a new customers first tan. Big deal!
Finally, the owner must have joked about it to the attendant because she laughed and said; "Sure, I'll make her happy."
After completing the necessary forms, I was shown a tanning room in the rear of the salon, which smelled like cigarette smoke. After finishing my session, I used the one existing restroom. This also smelled like smoke and had spilled lotion all over the floor. I then cleaned up, dressed and left.
Needless to say, I won't return to the Touch of Sun Tanning Spa in Oak Lawn. The staff is rude, the facilities are not very clean and the tanning equipment is just average.
