Two you men caliming to be local college students, (don't remember if I asked for college ID) claimed that the y were selling books for a contest. We bought one or two books for my grandson, age 4, and my wife paid for the book(s?) by check ($60), giving one of the men $15 cash. Several weeks when she went to write out a check she noticed that the last check stum had not been ripped out cleanly, and that there was no entry for that check stub. Worring that something was worng, she found the receiTower Of Power Sales slip, only now there were two of them, each for $6o, and after calling the bank, it ws confirmed that both checks had been cashed. One of the youg men had had tohave ripped that check out of t he check book whil my wife was distracted. I was outside the house with my grandson, and one of the men had come with me. We now know that we were scammed by fradulent representatives of Tower for Power Sales, Inc.
