Damage to vehicle
had a bad experience with the local Toyota dealer here in Bloemfontein. I took my Avanza yesterday 04/01/2011 for a 60 000KM service. I received my car yesterday afternoon, did not check it because this was not the first time I serviced my car with them and never had dought about their service. This morning, I was made aware that my cars front fog light is broken and then they denied responsibility with an attitude. How can I trust a well-known dealer with my vehicle again? What will be damaged or stolen again if they have to work on my car again. If one can lie, he can also steal. What does one do next?

head light lamps
Last year Rosner Toyota of Fredericksburg VA tried to charge me 150 to change my head light, they said the bumper had to be removed, I threw such a fit they ended up charging me 50. Today I found out it's not necessary to remove the bumper with instructions from an auto help site my husband changed it in less than 30 min. And he is NO mechanic. Shame Shame on Toyota for the lie and the design.

Ar Bag Dysfunction
I am a Toyota Owner. I bought Toyota Vios at May 2008. Unfortunately, my car broke down on the road on 16 November 2010 and whole system can’t functioning includes of brake, steering and engine. I waited hours to push the car and restart it. I sent it to Toyota center Sitiawan and I get appointment days later to check and survey on the problem exist. They told me that my Car’s Oxygen Sensor got problem, they must get a new one to replace it and they have re-set the PC (electronic setting) board.
Anyway, I met accident on 24 November 2010 and I found that the air bag dysfunction and caused me injured. This is really disappointed me and I can’t find why there is failure happened and it seems worst where we has been convinced earlier that Toyota Air Bag will protect the driver. My head injured and undergone surgery to do skin grafting. I am only 27 years old (young) and still working at Ministry of Transport. Because of the airbag failure, I’m forced to face the impact and consequences in term of psychologically and physically which is unfair to me and my family members. YOU MUST BE RESPONSIBLE!

fuel injection in beginning
Dears,

First I want to introduce my self
I am one of Toyota Lovers since 15 years ago
I believe in Toyota as the biggest & greatest company in the automotive fields
One of my dreams to own of the Toyota models
My dream became a truth in 2008 as I own Toyota yaris

 Unfortunately, I faced a serious problem at Nov 2010
My car had a problem in a fuel injection in beginning of November
As of normal process, I sent mail to Toyota Service centre in Abou Rawash area
Repairing take 3 days (as I will explain in detail later)
Service Centre repot as there is no problem in the Fuel injection system
After receiving the car from my side, I noticed the same problem in the car
Using a truck to carry the car to service centre again (consuming full day for car delivery& repairing)
The car stopped again after only 4 hours of car receiving
Then, I obligated to wait 3 days for the truck to carry my car again
Another 2 days in the service centre to receive my car
The car stopped again after only 4 hours of car receiving ( I am not repeating the words)
This is really happened
Another 5 days in the service centre to receive my car tomorrow
However, I want to highlight some issues I faced during this bad experience:

1- Toyota call centre didn’t receive the phone calls (Follow up of my car status is unknown process)
2- Trucks is not available for 3 days to carry my damaged car (Toyota lost their clients to other unknown & unauthorized service centers)
3- Toyota employees has no interest in customers satisfaction (calling Mr. Sherif Complaint manager in Toyota) without solution
4- There is a time gap between finishing car repairing & customer receiving (No answer from call centre)

As you can see from the above mail
1- 3 weeks left now without my car
2- consuming time & money to follow up my car
3- I was in charge for my car delivery to the service centre using truck twice
4- Losing 4 working days in my current job to receive the car more than one time

Finally I appreciate your fast replay on my mail.

Please accept my respect and regards

FJ acuator
Received a foot of snow at our house only to discover the 4 wheel drive isn't working. Took it in and was told that even though the drive train won't work without the actuator it isn't "considered" part of the drive train and even though the vehicle only has 41, 000 it's not under warranty and will cost almost $800 to fix. All they could say was there is nothing we can do. What about stand behind your product! Now we have a $30, 000 2 wheel drive!

gap insurance
Toyota allowes you to get the gap insurance. I had it and then I lost my job. I tried to get them to pay the loan with the gap insurance. They refused. My truck was repo'd. I received a check from toyota. I'll never have the gap insurance or a toyota ever again. I am now a ford owner from the check they sent me.

Bad service
I bought a new Toyota Corolla Advance 1.6 in September this year.

There was an attempt to steal the vehicle and I needed to have the locks and alarm fixed. I took the car to Toyota Sasolburg, they had the car a full day to assess the damages and identify the parts needed. My insurance gave them the go-ahead to fix the car. My car went in on Tue 9 Nov at 7:30 to be fixed. At 13:20 I was phoned to tell me they received the wrong parts from Toyota SA and cannot fix the car. The workshop manager Eddie gave me his word that the correct part has been requested again and that my car will be fixed by Fri 12 Nov.

On Thurs 11 Nov I was phoned to bring my car as the correct part has arrived. An hour later I was phoned to say that they can only install the part in two weeks as they were fully booked. I refused to accept this and contacted Customer complaints as Eddie promised that they will fix my car by Friday as it was not my mistake but Toyota's mistake. The owner of Toyota Sasol phoned me back and gave his word that the car will be fixed by Saturday 13 Nov. Two hours later Eddie phoned me again and claimed that there are no parts to fix my car available in South Africa. I requested to see all correspondence between Toyota SA and Toyota Sasolburg, however Eddie refuses to show me any correspondence which makes me extremely suspicious.

How is it possible that a South African company does not have any parts for a 2010 vehicle and have no means to obtain it within a short period of time. We are living in a modern world. I can get a package from overseas within a week, why can Toyota not do the same?

Radio died
Went on a trip in my Corolla at the end of August. Packed 2 suitcases and put them in the trunk. Half way through the trip the radio starts crackling and popping and finally quits working altogether. When I got back from my trip I took the Corolla into my dealer, Kingston Toyota int Kingston, Ontario, Canada. They looked it over and then proceeded to tell my it was my fault. The said I put too much in the trunk and what I put in the trunk pressed up agains the speaker wires on the underside of the trunk lid and shorted out the radio. Apparently, you're not supposed to put things in the trunk. I guess it's just there for show. And I didn't even know they mounted speakers to the underside of the trunk lid, I mean who would think to look there for speakers? And even if they did mount them there, why would all the wire be exposed and suseptable to being shorted out? Why wouldn't they be covered over with something to protect them from such a problem?

Anyway, after arguing with them about it they agreed to order in a new one and would call when it had arrived so that they could install it. It's been over a month now since they ordered the new part and still no call.

This isn't right. The radio is under warranty so what's the hold up?

I've been leasing from this dealership since 1997. Thats 13 years of loyalty.

I won't be leasing from them ever again, once this lease expires.

Not diagnosing my problem
I recently took my celica gts in because of engine surging they didn't diagnose it they went off recall bullitin and told me that was my problem and it turned out after they charged me to replace it it did not change a thing I paid them 630 dollars now they are telling me it is something different I really feel I'm being ripped off because I paid for a part I did not need because they didn't do their job in the first place
